Pioneer Elite Pro 800HD Fix/Question

Thread Starter
I have this Pioneer Elite Pro 800HD unit which has been used for about 6 months per year in a vacation house over its course of life until a week ago it suddenly decided to stop working.

What happens is the TV turns on for a split second, the screen comes on in a hazy fashion, then shuts itself off immediately. The light on the bottom left corner flashes 5 times. I've done my searching online and it seems to me that this is a power related fault.

I've opened up the beast and all of the boards seem to be normal--no noticeable burnt parts or boards. Everything seems like it was plugged in correctly. Fuse looks perfect (even changed it with a new one, to no avail).

I guess the questions I have would be:
1. Does it sound like the power issue like the blinking lights indicate? Power Board?
2. Is this TV worth fixing, or should I dump it?
3. If I sell it for parts, is it worth anything? It's so heavy that it would need to be local, unless I part it out...

Thoughts? Thanks!

Welcome to the AVS forums jeremysm1,
With a lackluster native resolution of 1024 x 768, no HDMI inputs, and arguably inferior picture quality compared to newer plasmas' - I'd personally replace it if you've already exhausted all other avenues of "DIY repair".
