'Game of Thrones' on HBO HD - NO SPOILERS or Book Discussion - Page 66

I agree with the comments I read in another article about S2, which mentioned that it wasn't as good because it constantly jumped all over the place. They need to stick with a few stories longer and not jump around so much in every ep, and maybe these longer eps will give them more chance to do that.

That sucks. All the really good stuff happens in the second half of the book. Hope that isn't considered a spoiler.

I don't know about that, having read some of what they've filmed. Won't say more

Bet George is pleased. He can take another year to finish before TV catches up with him wink.gif

He has what at least 4+ years now, since one of the upcoming seasons will most likely get split in two as well.....So he has time to finish things up ;-) anyways enough about the books, cant wait for the 3rd season to start, March cant come soon enough...

I thought it was a bit odd as well.

I thought it was pretty cool, their world coming to ours kind of thing. Plenty of time for the more traditional highlight type of trailers, which I'm sure we'll see before long.

If I had never seen the show the trailer would perk my interest...and thats who its aimed at, imo. Those of us watching don't need a tease-we're already counting the days until the return. What they're doing here is going after a few more subscibers. smile.gif

Thanks Dude! Boy, that was weird. Not sure how it pertains to GoT, however....

Do most consider Season 2 a drop-off from Season 1? I hadn't realized that if so, I loved both which is a little surprising in that Fantasy is definitely NOT my typical genre.

My only beef with Season 2 was I wanted more of Dani .. otherwise, I enjoyed it as much as Season 1

As long as she doesn't talk. Her character became a whiny brat last season. I hope that improves.

Keep in mind, she's a young teenager. She's learning to be a leader. I'm betting she will do well....

Good point! Daenerys is still just a teenager but she has lived a hard life, learned from it, and is now the kind of tough leader her dragons deserve.

She has always had a little bit of that, but I can forgive her.

The little girl aspect of Dani's character is one of the things I love about her. Despite her occasional flashes of immaturity, she is still smarter than a tree full of owls and tougher than Attila the Hun.
