Seriously? The fact that Eddard Stark got his head cut off at the end of season one is considered a spoiler? Seriously?

In general anything that's aired on TV isn't considered a spoiler so not sure of the context but we have discussed this for literally YEARS now lol. Dunno man.

Forgive me but I don't see who you are responding to or who claimed that Ned's head was a spoiler.

When I saw that post, I figured GameBoy must have had a post removed .. but I myself don't see how Ned's head could be a spoiler at all .. I mean, that's what, 3 seasons ago now .. ??

Looks like post 3947 has a click on spoiler that mentions the fate of Neds head.

I think "Neds Head" is an actual name of a bar band here on the jersey shore.

Thanks. I thought someone had "yelled" at GameBoy for some deleted post about discussing Ned's decapitation.
I don't doubt some band would pick up "Ned's Head" as a name. biggrin.gif

Looks like at least three recasts for season four. The most major being Daario Naharis.

Also Tommen Baratheon (Joffrey's younger brother) and Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane will be played by new actors as well.

This is the third actor who will have played "The Mountain" on the show. Also, the replacement actor for Tommen Baratheon actually had a different part on this past season, as Martyn Lannister, one of the two boys that Rickard Karstark killed as revenge for Jaime killing his son.

Were there any shots of the number 2 Mountain? Any time I think of the mountain I picture the first guy. I wonder why they couldn't get him again.

Boy - as if it wasn't already confusing enough trying to keep the multitude of characters, their families, their allies, their enemies, and their motivations straight, they have to go and re-cast different people in the same roles...? Good grief!

I agree, nothing like making it even more confusing, a show that already has a cast of what seems like thousands and again they're changing the faces of some of them, "good grief" is right!

Daario's change will be the only one that really bothers me. I really liked old Daario - he was just the right mix of suave and cheesy and I thought they had great chemistry in their scenes (Dany and he that is with their poorly veiled grins of confidence).

With all the characters, it would probably be pretty hard to keep all the actors around unless they signed long term deals which isn't likely. I presume these changes are necessary for the sake of the actors and is not the capriciousness of the showrunners.

GOT wins Hugo Award.

http://www.thehugoawards.org/hugo-history/2013-hugo-awards/

Martin has won twice for Best Novel (Dying of the Light and A Storm of Swords). This win for the episode "Blackwater," which he also wrote, may make him unique for crossing over to win in both a literature and a media category (I'm relying on memory, not research, for this assertion).

First they change Curlies in the Stooges, then Darrens in 'Bewitched', then Beckys in 'Rosanne' .... NOW THIS!!!

As long as they leave Danaerys alone, I'm good.

Yes, but it was never the same afterwards. The magic was gone...

1. Curlies kept dying.
2. Darren 1 became too ill to work.
3. Becky who?

Sure, bring logic and compassion into it. It was still annoying since it's all about me.

I agree!
Jeepers, that really irks me! I was looking forward to this guy's character development going forward in the show and now I can only hope his replacement doesn't screw up the part. He was arrogant but not so arrogant that the other men didn't like him. Maybe he wasn't arrogant at all but just very confident. Anyway, whatever he was, I hope the new guy can keep this part going in a good direction because I was thinking he was intended to be a major player in the show and he will probably be around for quite awhile.

I thought he came across as a perfumed pretty boy, instead of the incredibly tough guy her first husband was. He seemed to be much more like her brother, who she came to disdain, than someone she would be attracted to.

They could make it work if Daario turns out to be one of the faceless men of Braavos like I think he is.

Speaking of which, I wonder if we will see Jaqen H’Ghar again. I have suspicions that he is actually her (Arya) sword instructor, Syrio Forel also from Braavos. All three had the same calm confidence.

Syrio met his demise at the hands of the King's guard did he not? He held them off with a wooden sword so she could escape iirc.
