Amazon has this up for pre-order. No release date yet. I can't wait! Day one purchase for sure.

I ordered the Punch Drunk Love BD from Amazon 2 years ago yesterday - it's still a pre-order. Hopefully we'll get some better confirmation for MPATHG.

I'm curious just how much better this film will look on Blu-ray than the 19" black and white TV I first saw it on...

I'm hoping they don't go overboard with processing as they did with Life of Brian.

Should be ok as long as Lowry doesn't get involved.

Agreed. This disc is coming from Sony, who have done exceptional work as far as I'm concerned. Looking forward to this one!!!

There are so many great quotes from The Holy Grail, and it is about time it finally comes out on BD. I'm looking forward to it, too.

Cool!!!

Now, please bring us Meaning of Life...the ultimate

(until then, the HD-DVD will suffice...)

According to Releaselists.com, the date is June 28th

I'm just worried that on BD, you'll be actually able to tell the castle is a model and ruin the joke...

I hope the June 28th date is true. That would make it the best birthday present I could hope for!

Bring out your dead (threads)! Finally, we have a release date: March 6th, 2012, according to http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=7994

This is the one remaining pre-order I have open with Amazon.
nice... except does anyone thing it will actually look better than the dvd?
they didnt use panavision and techincolor when they made those movies.
Merde!
based on HD broadcasts I'd estimate it will look about as good as "A Clock Work Orange."

Nuts...Amazon doesn't seem to have an active pre-order for this, at least right now. (Incredibly, Walmart seems to. I'm not sure I trust them, though.)

Of course I'm sitting here wondering what the opening theme will sound like in DTS, because you know Uni would go there...
This is a Sony title. The audio was already remixed for the 2001 reissue and I'm sure the same mix will be used for the 5.1 track here. But they'd damn well better include the mono mix, since the 5.1 has way too much re-recorded dialogue -- Palin's redone narration is especially bad. There's no mention of mono in the Blu-ray.com piece, so I'm worried.

Amazon just automatically cancelled my order.
