ABC Renews Happy Endings For Season 3
By Michael Ausiello, TVLine.com - May 11, 2012

And now for some truly a-mah-zing news: ABC has (as expected) renewed Happy Endings for a 22-episode third season.

The news follows Thursday night's pickups of Grey's Anatomy, Castle, The Middle, Modern Family, Suburgatory, Revenge and Once Upon a Time.

Whoot! One of the absolute best shows on TV.

Thank god; I though for sure that ABC would screw up again and cancel a truly great show. I've been miserable since the season finale of Happy Endings; the show that replaced it is horrible.

Just watched the 22nd episode of season two that didn't air in the US. Kickball 2: The Kickening. Butt funny. It was like a super bonus, didn't know it was around, and then laughed my ass off, at the same time thankful because I know the show will be back next year.

It was pretty funny, I wonder why it wasn't aired here?

Strange it did not air here. Where does it fall in the "correct" episode list, was it supposed to be the season ender? Thought it was pretty good too but felt the one that closed the season was better.

Where are you people finding this episode?
Woah, there is another episode?

ABC bumped it so they could push Bitch in 23. It might air in the summer but it was on E4 UK last week. I'm expecting it to be the season 3 opener. Saves ABC spending money on another episode to fill out the run.

You can find it in the usual Internet foreign distribution repositories.

It shows up as 2-22 on TV Rage and IMDB, but that doesn't prove anything. And it's pretty much impossible to figure out where it belongs via continuity, as there pretty much isn't any in Happy Endings.

There is continuity depending on who the single cast mates are dating at the time.

It was pretty much a stand alone episode with Lance Briggs making a nice cameo. As much as I like that Bitch in 23, watching another new episode of Happy Endings showed how much better the HE is when compared. I dont want to even imagine what 23 would be like without the beek.

God bless the internet for allowing fans to see episode that networks are too dumb to air.

"That girl so whack her first name should be Nick Nack Paddy....AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SNAPuuuuuup."

I rewound that part about 30 times much to the chagrin of my wife. It made me cry I laughed so hard. Just the volume of it alone was hilarious.

Very funny episode, but most of them are.

Any update on if or when "Kickball 2: the Kickening" (the unaired episode from Season 2 discussed above) is going to see the light of day on ABC?  The promos have included shots from it but Season 3 has started without it, with "Cazsh Dummy Spillionaires" last night and "Sábado Free-Gante" scheduled for next week.

That's still not been shown yet?

Jeez, I would give up and track it down yourself. I saw that so long ago I forgot it was never aired.

I already had done that, per the advice that you yourself gave earlier in this thread.  That's why I was able to recognize scenes from it in the promos and was able to say,

There will be election coverage on November 6, so it won't air then either.

Anyone else interested in it might as well track it down on the net as well.  Not my favorite episode, but seeing it was better than missing it.

Hoping to have better reception on ABC tomorrow night than tonight ... watching on line or On Demand doesn't fully measure up to watching it off the DVR.  Tonight both ABC stations had a lot of dropouts.

You understand that was because of hurricane/tropical storm Sandy dumping lots of rain at the ABC uplink site, causing signal reception issues at the satellite.

At least you have ABC. Directv's lost pretty much every single HD Local station feed up the entire East coast.

You mean it was between the network and WLS, not between WLS and me?  Well, if it's like that again tonight, I'll catch "Endings" and "Bitch" on On Demand tomorrow, but the coarse navigation there, even more so than the inability to fast-forward through or past commercial breaks, is really annoying.

Correct. Rain absorbs microwave energy. C-Band takes a lot more to make it go away and there was A LOT out east.

Ku tends to go before C, but according to a friend, NBC's Ku held up, but their C backup did not. Weird.

The heavy rain should be away from the uplink sites today, so all should be well tonight.

BTW, I was surprised how well the ABC remotes held up, considering they are Ku. Keep in mind that there are two paths, the one going up and the one coming down. Either one can affect the signal.

That, however, still is no guarantee of solid reception by my DVR of either of WLS's signals.  Unfortunately, I've no way to connect the DVR to our roof antenna and it depends on a flat antenna in a window facing the nearest cardinal direction to the transmitters.  What I really need is a second roof antenna, routed to the room where the DVR has to be.

While your local reception might be questionable, the output from the station should be good.

Looks like it will finally air tonight (Sunday, January 13) according to Zap2it's program grid for local OTA in my area. Check listings for your area, hopefully you'll see the same smile.gif
