SONY LCD TV banding problem

Bought SONY LCD TV model KDL-46V5100 on June 9th 2009, and started having banding problem Feb 2011, out of manufacture warranty (only 1 y).

There are red / blue vertical bars on screen, at first they will go away if I switch channels, now its kind of persistent.













Not sure what exactly is the problem, I think its banding problem?

Is there a easy fix for it or should I trash it and buy a new one?

Wow! Don't need a discerning eye to see that one, eh?

I honestly don't know what that is. Amazing that it's doing it in colors.

Hope you can find a solution.
