Multipath question for Lee Wood in PDX

While I normally have bad multipath problems with high winds in West Linn on KOIN, this weekend's golf has been almost error free even with huge winds. I was wondering if the fact that you were using the full HD bandwidth for The Masters would have any effect on multipath tendencies.

If so, this would seem to be an argument against splitting the bandwidth if you want to assure maximum reception for all viewers.

Thanks

Bandwidth allocation really doesn't affect multipath to any great degree because 'bits is bits'. They either get there clean, and decodable, or they don't. The PSIP table timing is the same, the error correction is the same, only the amount of the channel allocation is changed.

A far more likely influence on your multipath is the trees beginning to get leaves again and changing the whole multipath landscape. It will probably continue to vary until the rain stops (June, July,?) and then stablize for the summer.
