A Professional camera meaning what exactly?
A real pro camera is going to set you back a minimum of $3-4K.
If you have specific needs then list them and you will get suggestions as to what might work for you.
What are you going to use it for because at that price you can't buy very much and you'll likey have to buy used as well.

professional camera for what type of work? this would be the main factor when deciding what type of camera to get. What will you use it for the most?

what other specific need do you have when it comes to audio, low light capabilities, etc.

You should be able to find the right camcorder you need, all you need to do is visit your local stores that sell them.
Then look them over and give them a try.
Also having a store that has a good return or exchange policy is a great help.
