Warner Home Video have revealed that they will release three more highly anticipated films on Blu-ray: Jon Amiel's Copycat (1995), starring Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Death and the Maiden), Holly Hunter (The Piano), and Dermot Mulroney (The Thing Called Love); Barry Levinson's Sleepers (1996), starring Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver), Kevin Bacon (Hollow Man), and Billy Crudup (Waking the Dead, Almost Famous); and Jean-Jacques Annaud's The Name of the Rose (1986), starring Sean Connery (The Rock) and Christian Slater (Mobsters, Kuffs). Street date for all three Blu-ray releases is August 2.

Sleepers is a spectacular movie in every way. I'd love to have this on blu ray.

Name of the Rose is probably the only sure thing on that list for me - incredible atmosphere and sets; though I haven't seen it in 15 to 20 years, I still remember it's mystery fondly.

The UK release of Sleepers is said to be a DNR mess. I doubt ours will look any better.

THANK YOU JESUS.

Name of the Rose. What a movie. Wonder if it is the original or the extended? Not a fan of the extended myself, but it isn't ruinous.

Copycat is actually quite good too.
