My only option was to cancel and wait for the current stock to be sold and then try ordering again. I'm a little bit disappointed, but hopefully I will get a Tv soon that won't have any FBR issues. The other sad thing is that the price has now gone back up. It was previously the same as Amazon's lowest price last week.

I know that MJ for the 55" VT30 indicates the fix is in place but not sure for the 65". Are you sure this display has the problem?

I'm sure Dnice will enjoy my Kuro when he comes to pick it up.

MJ does not mean the fix is in place. It is a factory ID. There are April MJs, November MJs and every month inbetween.

So then maybe it doesn't have a problem until he checks the service menu.
The person would have to check the SM to verify the LSI version on display's assembled before August. I thought BB had their entire stock flashed with the update????

You sound blah, blach, blah on a daily basis. You are a habitual offender of the blah, blah, blah routine LMFAO.

Ack! My VT30 just scared the crap out of me. Checked the hours as normal, then it wouldn't power up. 14 flashes, a chart online shows that as the A-board. I unplugged everything and let it sit for a few and it turned on normally. November build.

Yikes!

Doesn't sound good. I would watch out for that panel as it may fail.

More bragging???!!!! Really? That's the point you're going for now, really? If that's what makes you feel better to bring the point on a Kuro that isn't made any longer to money you paid for them than very funny indeed.

he stated MJ1213... which means prefix, the 1213 indicates that, however it prolly already has the fix,as it is from BB.

and what exactly is your beef with D-Nice? you sound like a 15 year old child going thru puberty.

Kuros are still being sold and used panels have more value and selling for more than your 55VT30. There are even a few NIB Kuros... although they are being sold for absolutely ridiculous prices.

Yeah the Kuro was such the ultimate display that they had to stop making them...they realized the general public wasn't worthy or their black levels.

I made the decision to cancel based off of what I read at this link: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...postcount=3775.

I am patient. I can wait few weeks and order again. One of two things will happen, the price will get cheaper, or Panasonic will make such a huge announcement at CES that I will wait for the new model.

Your display will no longer be in production in a matter of days. Welcome to the "no longer in production" club. LMFAO.

Better buy a later build date.

Ahhh, backup has arrived.

I suggest you review Pioneer's financial history before you make such claims. They had zero problem selling the Kuros and actually profited from their sales.

Another D-nice fan boy, what a surprise.

I'm not the one trying to brag about the money spent. Good grief, give me a break.

Speaking of backup...Is your son Mark around or did you have to send him to bed early for wetting on your Kuro?

BTW, it is so "Ultimate", as you put it, that it causes yourself and Robert to go on the war path. That my friend is priceless.... and shall I say legendary LOL.
I don't have a son named Mark.

Ordering later doesn't guarantee a later build date. The patch is easy to get, so no need to cancel orders over it. In fact, there have been some members who reported their sets with 1213 serial numbers were already patched.
I bragged about money spent? How about I posted how I, and others, paid less for Kuros. You are the one who consistantly claims the Kuros were expensive. When someone puts you in your place, all of a sudden they are bragging??? Come on. I expect a better argument out of you.

For those interested, I will be touring PA, NJ and NYC this weekend. One of my stops had to reschedule and I now have an an available calibration slot. PM me if you would like to get your display calibrated.

A cheaper, knock-off version at Monoprice exists, and some have made their own.

If you do decide to go with powerbridge, they used to give AVS Forum members a discount back in the day.

pretty nifty. ordered from Amazon, cheaper than any other store. Thanks MVP.
