Best price I've seen period. I ordered a pair. Amazon didn't even have the twin pack for that good of price

I bought a box of (2) 3rd gen Panasonic glasses for $150 locally.

You can't expect to learn anything from a photo of a calibrated display unless the display was also repaired for some major fault at the same time it was calibrated, or it was grossly configured.

Skyrim Lag Fix on Xbox 360
Go to system settings than storage then clear the system cache. Should clear your lag issue up. Can't do this with ps3 Sony offers no way sorry. This is common with all Bathesda games. Only reason I'm posting this here is someone thought the lag was a VT flaw.

Just bought a pair for $58. You do the math.

BeatleJoose,

Any chance that what you are seeing is caused by an HDMI cable problem? As i may be having a similar problem I plan on trying to swap cables and see if the issue resolves itself. Have you tried this?

Very nice of you to share the link!

Amazon seller is "price pros" but it looks like they sold out. They only had 20 in stock when I ordered and 3 were sold as I was deciding what to do. They had over 128,000 ratings with a 4.5 star rate so they seemed reliable and my product has already went into the shipping process. Amazon was also selling for $66 this morning but since has gone up in price and really doesn't matter considering they never have them in stock.

I was supposed to get my 65VT30 delivered today. I was ready to set up the slides and get my 100 hours in by the weekend. I have to wait until Wednesday to get the TV.

Best Buy was supposed to call me last night to schedule the delivery. They never called so I called them this morning. I made multiple calls today and probably spent close to two hours on hold. Eventually the manager from the local store called me. He said their delivery system allowed them to schedule two trucks worth of deliveries. The problem is that they only have one truck. They were supposed to call me last night to let me know that. The manager didn't know there was a problem until I had called. It's very frustrating.

Hello all

I believe I got a settings question although a quite specific one

- On viera connect main channel setup we can add in applications, channels etc and position them on the available empty icon spaces on the pages. But I can´t locate an "uninstall" option if you just wish to get rid of it. Only option close to that is to disable the application icon on the left scrolling list. For me this is a bug, not really a feature request

If you scroll on the mainlist of available apps and enter one you already have there will be a greyed button saying "installed" or similar, and it should read (and execute) "uninstall

Is there a way to uninstall an app or channel or will they stack up on the list senselessly ? should panasonic channel dev issue a viera connect system update ?

What ever the hell that is going on in the youtube video link in the above post, I've never seen anything like that on my 55VT30. About two and a half months of ownership and thank goodness I haven't seen that kind of nonsense. It would have gotten sent back immediately.

Another member asked me a few pages back in this thread to look very closely at my screen in the black bars on top and bottom of a 16:9 movie or in an all black screen to see if I see any of that going on but nothing. Just black. No colored dots or pixels.

Hope you guys figure it out and get it corrected. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I'll play with settings, cables, etc. tonight and see if I can narrow down the issue. Probably get on the phone with panasonic as well. I've got about 1 week left on my amazon 30 day trial so can opt for a replacement if it is defective but hate the thought of that...

So far i am more than happy with it.

Nice to see there is someone else who likes Martin Landau.

Coincidentally, I was watching this movie today:

This is a bit off topic, but the VT30 did a terrific job with this blu-ray: this state of the art restoration looked just like film on the screen--great detail and color while still looking natural. It's just astounding to me that a film of this vintage can look so good.

It's also a cogent reminder that great films don't need CGI to be truly great! Highly recommended!

On the PS3 main screen I see flashing pixels within white lettering, and I also see that on certain scoreboards during sporting events (for example, on TNT NBA broadcasts from last season's playoffs the team logo, particularly the Miami Heat, was flickering). I assume this is dithering, and nothing more serious? I do not otherwise notice this during BD or cable viewing.

My favorites where helena and in fact maya the shapes lady hu so sexy !

If you had the chance of watching cinema / great classics in panavision / 70mm and big screens through the 70´s and 80´s cgi and bluray would not mean a lot, even as it stands nowadays

Did my 100 hour prep and applied the D-Nice settings. I haven't had much time to check out the quality -- just using OTA right now until the TV moves to its new home.

But I'm seeing rainbows -- and I haven't seen any discussion about this. I've always been sensative to rainbows, which drove me towards LCDs in the past and far, far away from color wheels. (And I was always amazed that not everyone else was seeing them!) I was surprised to be experiencing them on a plasma.

Perhaps I'm just sitting way too close and once I'm at a proper viewing distance, they'll fade away. But, right now, they've got me a bit concerned.

Anyone else seeing any rainbows?

See the video link I posted 2 posts ago and see if that's what you are experiencing. If so, that's not dithering.

Hitchcock's North by Northwest. One of my favorites, Cary at his best. When the blu ray was remastered, they got the brightness level corrected, so the night shots at Mt. Rushmore look so much better. Harder to see the rear projection.

I just ordered a 65VT30 and look forward to seeing how this film looks on it!

I am opting to not do the slides for the first 100 hours, instead, I will carefully view full screen material, maybe do a Battlestar Galactica marathon which is full screen. I'll do this for 200 to 500 hours, then try D-Nice's settings before I have a pro calibrate it.

I have been reading this entire thread. I haven't seen any recommendations for settings for the break-in if one just views full screen material. Can someone point me to a post if I missed it? Perhaps it simply is just using the THX setting? I just wondered if one should reduce contrast and brightness?

Many thanks! And it's great to see all the helpful material in this thread!

Thanks, that is similar to what I had. I'll check out the scrolling bar when I get home.

Received my 65VT30 a couple days before Thanksgiving and all is well except with my Harmony One remotes... Seems the command "Input Ant/Cable" simply won't work... Everything else does fine... Got the setup from the online Harmony database... Programmed and re-programmed several times... That one command just fails, all other input selection options are OK... Hopefully one of you have Ones or another Harmony and can offer a comment... Thanks, Ernie

How do you stop the Viera Connect banner from appearing every time I turn on the TV?

It's in the settings. I can't remember exactly where but it might be under network. I looked for two seconds when I first got the set and found it no problem.

Go to Setup (the wrench at the bottom), Scroll to page 2 and go to Advanced setup...it's in there.

Sounds like you will have to "teach" the remote that command.

The only classic Martin Landau (the actor pictured) was ever in was "North by Northwest", so that's my guess. And if I'm right; yes it's a great movie.

I got in on that deal as well; they should be here tomorrow. I've never had a pair of 3D glasses before (outside of a theater's pair of course), so I'm not sure how much anyone will care to hear my thoughts on them. I'm kind of curious as to how well I like them for GT5, Ico/Shadow of Colossus and I also have Coraline to try them with. Not exactly a great deal of content, but for less than $60, it'll probably be worth it.

Just received my 55 vt30 and the screen is cracked, getting tired of waiting. Oh well got another one on it's way. Btw how am I able to tell what build it is?
