It made me think of the new Direct commercials about not wanting to end up in a road side dish or not wanting a grand daughter with a dog collar due to being frustrated over cable.
I have DISH however and not Direct but feel the same way. My HD DISH feed is spectacular. I have about 500+ hours on my display so you'll like yours even more as you get some hours on it. I agree completely with the post not that long ago that something adjusts in the display color wise to really make the colors more accurate. It was some place around 300 hours when I noticed a significant improvement. The smooth motion is also something that doesn't get recognized enough. I own a KURO 9G and even though it has strengths and weaknesses like the VT30 or any other display, I simply prefer my 55" VT30. Maybe I'm in the minority or maybe not since I've read KURO owners on here saying they like the VT30 better. In any event, the VT30 is an awesome display. I was just amazed at how good the super bowl game looked and get the wow factor when watching the best blu-rays or DISH HD movies. Really for those that pay so much for the VT30 to have the best plasma available, I would think easily worth it to dump cable if at all possible....no use being frustrated.

Every day the panel gets better and better. I have not yet spent the money on a calibration but I think this time I will. I think there is tremendous potential locked in this panel waiting to be freed. I just watched Super 8 the other night and had one of the best cinematic experiences in a long time. Every scene, every color, every shade, every hue, every motion contributed to a an experience of being immersed in the film. I have Dish Also for HDTV which is fantastic. The superlatives abound. Although my heart was set on Panasonic I did explore other brands but there is no question in my mind that no set currently on the market can sit in the same room. BTW, just for the fun of it watched Imax Under The Sea in 3-D last night, simply awesome.
