UPDATE 6/1/11: Ok I returned the 50ST30 for the 55ST30 and got the free Panasonic bluray player. I love the 55. I only sit 7 to 8 feet from the TV depending on how much I recline and the 55 gives more of that movie experience. I got 2 12 inch JBL subs off craigslist and they are sweet. The bass is so much deeper and you can really feel it in your chest. Here are the new Pics.

I took these pics of the 50ST30 and since the picture quality is pretty much the same I didn't take any new ones yet.


I just got a new TV so I figured I would start a new thread. I love the Panasonic and it's a huge improvement over my Samsung LN-40A630. I've only had it for 10 days and I'm considering taking it back and getting the 55 inch. I love my sound. The paradigms are the best speakers I've ever owned and I cant see myself replacing them anytime soon. I would like to try some ADPs for surrounds. I have a second setup with some Paradigm monitors. Here is sorry pic I took with my Iphone.

Frolich, I love your super clean setup. That NAD looks like a beast. I got the Marantz receiver out a few weeks ago to listen to some music. It's not hooked up now but I love the look of it. I will be selling it soon. The 7005 looks pretty sweet as well. I think I've seen your paradigms on here before. Didn't you have some 20s and a cc590?

They are a little higher up then I would like but the effect is still really good. I would prefer them about 2 feet above seated ear height but that was not an option in my room. In the monitor system I have in living room the surrounds are just slightly above seated ear level and it is not quite as realistic for things that should be up in the air. For example, if a helicopter is flying in it sounds more realistic to have the speakers up higher. Another example would be in the first Borne movie when they are out in the field and you can hear ducks quacking behind you it sounds like they are really flying in the air. I'm hoping to have a dedicated theater room in the next year so if that happens I will probably put them 1 to 2 feet above seated ear level. I want to try out some Paradigm ADPs and see what affect they have. I had to get a new TV first so that will probably be my next upgrade followed by trying to make a DIY subwoofer.

Yea, I like to look up at the TV when I’m sitting in my recliner. When I sit in my recliner, my eyes are even with the bottom of the TV stand. The picture looks the same as it does when viewing from the middle. I have seen no image loss.

Thanks man. I love your huge projector. That was the dirrection I wanted to go but I couldn't make it work in the room I'm using now. I got the paradigm sign from eBay. There were some lighted signs as well but I didn't want the cord hanging down so I just went with the glass.

Thanks. I love the dual subs. I was worried about them being different brands but they work quite well together. They are both 10 inch but the def tech gets quite a bit lower than the Klipsch. I used a spl meter to get them to same level and then ran audyssey. I know 2 new sub's would be nice but I got both of these off craigslist for 100$ a peice so it was nice to save some money.

Your setup is great as well. Just wondering what effects the mat under the subwoofer has. I had seen them on amazon but I wasn't sure if I should get them.

Just got 2 JBL 12 inch subwoofers off craigslist for a sweet deal. Here are some pics.

I got it at the mall a few years ago. They have them on eBay as well. It's a Michael Jordan upper deck figure.

Yea they both have the standard JBL squeak/burp. I though there was something wrong with it the first time I heard it. After doing some research online I found out it is normal.

I just thought Yoda liked my system.
