I was thinkin the same thing. Just get an ep4000 new, and not have to worry about it..
I so want to get started on this project, damn home renavations are taking the extra funds for now.. I almosy told the wife that we were going to wait on the flooring till after the subs, yeah, probably not a good idea...
And so I wait, and ponder, THT vs Dual opposed vs single enclosed... I went to bed with speakers in my brain and dreamt of drivers...

I know the feeling. We just had to spend $4k on surgery for one of our dogs and it's totally set me back...and so I wait. The good thing about having time is that you can have everything completely planned out. It's also not very expensive to start building the enclosures and then wait to order the expensive parts last.

If you're going to want your bass to dig down deep in movies then I'd definitely go with dual opposed or single enclosed if you feel like building more enclosures.

Isn't it great daydreaming about speakers and subs? Some days at work the day is over before I know it because I was in dreamland the entire time planning my next project.
