Interesting call here. It appears the game is AT Iowa and Homecoming. Both are HUGE negatives for the Hoosiers. Still are VERY intriguing bet here. What's the preseason hype surrounding the Hawkeyes? I haven't heard much. The Hoosiers have a new head coach and new system to digest.

Who said it stops?

I like the ones you have now, but considering your latest pictures I am looking forward to what your new light fixtures look like. Any details you care to share in advance?

Well the Hawks will win at least 8 this year, not getting the preseason buzz that we normally get. As far as the bet I'll make it for a beer if we ever get together in the future!

I like the current ones too but now that I have the dark colors in the bar the stainless looks a bit off. I will post some pics when I get back on that project. But just making a nice wood base that will run on the ceiling and have pendants hanging done from there. The poker light is similar but making an octagon base for the ceiling.
Cheers

ohh wait someone getting "cold feet"? Poker table bet off the table?

A beer (or 2) bet is much safer just dont forget to bring the table with you

Jeff,

Impressive work on the poker table!!! I too was concerned over the miter cut on the riser. I have done the reverse miter as you did, but the adjacent board was not square-cut like you show. Instead it was also reverse-mitered to be flush.

Now that I see the padding, it makes perfect sense!!! Sorry to hear about the race-track getting ruined!! Must have been a sick feeling discovering that the next day!!!

I will be visiting this thread again as I want to look at more of the bar build (don't have time today - TRYING to get motivated to FINISH my own project - haha!!)!

Thanks! I have used this half miter approach a few times and makes it easy as you dont have worry about exact lengths and fitting tight against the race track. My projects will be slowing down a bit to enjoy some football
