Denon won't change inputs on ZONE 2

Hi All,

This is my very first post. I have a Denon AVR 888. I have 2 Zones hooked up to it. Everything was working great until one day, I was unable to switch inputs on Zone 2. I can change inputs on Zone 1 just fine, however, if I want to play anything in Zone 2, it has to be connected to the TV/CBL input since that's the one it got "stuck" on. I have tried to manually change it as well with the remote and have had no luck.

I'm wondering if performing the Microprocessor reset will solve my problem. Anyway, I sincerely appreciate any responses or possible fixes. Everything else is working great... just this one issue.

Also, is it possible to change the name of an input on the DENON AVR 888? I know it can be done on newer models, but I can't seem to make it work on this one..

Have you tried unplugging the receiver, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in? That will do the 'reset' you'll need to try first.

Check the front panel buttons to see if perhaps one of them is stuck down or caught in the bezel - that could prevent some function from working (don't know if that's possible on this product, just a general tip).

If the hard power cycle doesn't fix it, and there's nothing else obviously wrong, try unplugging everything (speakers/sources) and see if the behavior changes. If not, time to contact Denon or the dealer you bought it from for support.

Renaming inputs - see page 33 in the manual. It's available online at the Denon web site, too...
