Thought I'd pass on my experiences with Samsung Australia and the PS58C7000 I had.
3 months have passed since I originally logged a fault with Samsung regarding the excessive 3D Ghosting/Crosstalk. After going through all the motions with Samsung and having taking numerous days off - 3 no shows and 3 actual visits which involved the replacement of the motherboard (much to my disagreement), I still ended up with a TV (PS58C7000) that had unacceptable levels of crosstalk.
To Samsung's credit they have replaced my TV with the next generation model PS59D8000.
I have tried the 3D out on my PVR (Grand Final), Fox and the PS3 - definitely a massive improvement on my old PS58C7000. I can now play GT5 for hours without getting a headache. Whether or not it was better than firmware version 2002 on the PS58C7000, I don't know as I cant compare it. But I am finally enjoying 3D.
