Unfortunately, I do. And, thats why I'll never buy another 5 Series BMW aside from their run flat tires and no oil stick.

I hate Bose too, from the 901s to the 3/2/1s to the cubes. But, I have to give them credit on their factory car systems. I've never heard one that I did not like. They are great sounding systems.

I don't really care. I'm not huge on car audio and the bose car systems I have heard aren't that bad. It would not be a deal breaker, but I would laugh if the salesman was trying to press the point that the system was bose!

I saw a sweet '08 black corvette for sale over the weekend and it had a bose system. I wouldn't really care what stereo system was in that car if I could afford it!

If anyone(caper_1) thinks that Bose is the only company or institution in the world that "tricks" consumers into believing something...you are very naive. I don't like Bose, but they are an excellent case study on exactly what marketing can do for a company. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

And anyone that doesn't buy a car because it has Bose in it is a f'n moron. I would say the Bose systems are as good or better than a lot of the factory stuff out there.

I voted yes, but I sure wouldn't pay much more for it vs the stock system. I did own a car with a Bose system in it, but it was included with the model and version of the car I wanted (had extra air bags) so I had no choice.

I could not have said it better myself.

Bravo Bro!

Picking a car based on what audio system it has would be pretty much the last consideration for me.

My Audi S4 came with a Bose system. It's actually not that bad. However, I prefer to listen to the engine/exhaust over a stereo any day!

My parents had a 1986 Acura Legend and the Bose system in it was downright good. Even had an equalizer built in. I've always done my own vehicles aftermarket since and I gotta admit I'm pissed at what the auto industry has done. They charge $2,000 to $3,000 for the premium system with NAV, which Alpine, JL, and Rockford could kill for $1,200 or less.
I've driven a 1993 Lexus SC 400 for the last 12 years as a summer car, with aftermarket Boston Pros (speakers and sub) and an Alpine head unit and amp. I've been looking at getting a newer car and just laugh when the salesman starts to brag about the sound system in the newer car. 2 to 3 grand for that sound??? It's ok but nowhere near worth that much. What really angers me is now the radio, cd, and ipod controls are all stuck in the computer that runs the hvac and all the other controls. There is nowhere to put an aftermarket system. I wonder how much money all the aftermarket companies are losing due to the car manufacturers essentially building them out of their vehicles. I've found a few newer cars I really like (bmw 5 series, mercedes e class), but I hate to give up my great sounding system in my vehicle, and it has been a big reason I haven't moved up yet.
