That's it, and more like it with the price, too.

I actually had an Amplifier hooked up to my Antenna. I took it off to see how it would work. It seems I'm picking up less channels. Before more channels would come in, but not all the time and not always with good reception. PBS would sometimes come in, but not often.

Any thoughts about this? Do you still think the Terk HDTVi or Terk TV5 would be the best option?

Here are pictures of my antennas that I currently have. The first is GE unit I got at Target. The 2nd is an RCA ANT301, which does pickup PBS. However, it's used on the second floor of our house. When I use it on the first floor (where the 1st antenna is) it has a hard time picking up PBS.

I also included the amplifier I'm using. The antennas seem to work better when I have it hooked up.

Do you have HHG nearby? Go get a Terk HDTVa and test it with and without the inline amp and see how it works. You can always return it, especially if they won't price match a more reasonable online price. Because you are near Baltimore towers, an amp could overload and do more harm than good, and that Recoton amp is probably a bit noisey. And take a look at a CS1 or CS2. And are you interested in DC channels as well? I would be.

Yes. They are much better antennas than what you have. I first tried the RCA rabbit ears and I took it back and got the Terk TV 5. With the rabbit ears I barely got my PBS station and I had to do a lot of antenna adjusting. With the Terk TV 5 I pick up my PBS station perfectly and I don't have to do any antenna adjusting.

I would like to be able to get some of the DC channels. I was able to get some of them for awhile, after I hooked up the amplifier. Now I don't get any of them.

If your TV Fool report is correct, the DC channels will only be receivable under favorable weather conditions. They will not likely be reliable 24/7, even with a good outdoor antenna.
