Upgrade to Paradigm from Focal?

I currently own the focal cinema pack which is 3 sib xl's, 2 sibs and I have a paradigm dsp-3400 sub. I was thinkin about trying to sell the focals and switch to the paradigm monitor 9's, cc-290, and adp-190's. Frequency range on the focals is 67hz - 35khz while the paradigm's are 51hz-20khz. Im not getting all wrapped up in specs I'm just curious if I will notice a difference with the loss of the high range 20khz+ by switching? I am running everything thru an integra 40.2. 100% movies, gaming and cable. 2500 cubic ft room. (17Lx13Wx11H). I was going to start with the front 3 which I can get for $1200. I already have the sub and I'll just add the surrounds later. Let me know if it is worth it to switch. Any other ideas are appreciated besides Internet direct speakers. I will always buy a sub but not speakers.

Haha, wonder who that was...? Anyway, I'm guessing your integra is thx... Thx uses their x-overs at 80 hz... You won't gain anything switching if looking at specs... Have you looked at the focal domes? The cine pack and lesser sub/cubs have really nothing in common with the rest of the lineup. Theyre the only ones made in china, no inverted tweeter, and no V or W cone... If you're unhappy with your cinepacks, give the other focal lines a shot... Even 4 705w's and 700c if you can deal with bookshelves...

The subwoofer should be picking up the bass below 80hz.

Most of us can not hear above 15khz - it will mainly come down to
the midrange. If the Paradigm sound will float your boat - then you
will have a bigger sound spread. Have you considered trying out the
Focal Chorus towers and center?

I also agree with post #3 about the bookshelves. That tweeter is
good, and a very good midrange. I enjoy the Chorus midrange and
treble, better than the Monitors.

I agree with everything above, but IMO a tweeter that can hit 24khz should sound better than one @20khz (human ear tolerance) because it should be more "natural" as nature doesn't stop at 20... They way the waves interact as well as the tweeter should have a more accurate sound, all other things being equal...
Chorus floor standers are great. Even the 714 sounds great if put with a good sub... They stop a about 54hz if I'm not mistaken...

Yes and I still am considering the 714v and 716v with 700 series center because they are the only ones in my price range. Those don't seem like a step up from the sib xl's at all really. A little bit more bass but my sub more than adequately handles that and I plan on getting another sub as well.

I have listened to, and owned a lot of speakers with the tweeter rated
above 20khz, and some have sounded better than the speakers rated at
20 khz, and some worse.

Manufacturer specs can be a bit dodgy at times as well.

You should notice better details in the highs, most people do... They will give a better soundstage too... Both are good speakers really, and despite it all, it's obviously your ears that matter most...
