I started using the dynamic control. It reduces the flashlighting, but apaprently (as someone has previously mentioned here) it is common due to the tv being edgelit.
I barely notice it while watching films, and it is only in the two corners. Aside from that everything is gorgeous. Days of Heaven (Criterion), and Se7en blew my mind, and I had no idea Paths of Glory could look that good!
Netflix/Hulu+ work great, and cable looks A-OK. Only use motionflow when I play CoD.
I haven't noticed any color banding, or any clouding when watching films (only on the netflix loading screen animation in the top-right corner), but I guess I'll look for it to be safe.
Only bummer is that it increases the frame rate on video playback from my ps3 media-streamer. Motionflow, and reality-creation (I don't know much about the reality creation to be honest) are all off so it may just be how I have setup on my pc although video playback is just fine through my PS3. Whatever. That's not for this thread I suppose.
