Lab Gruppen FP14000 clone amplifiers - Page 7

What do you think about the ability of the 10000Q powering the TC 5400 LMS ultra?

Gear mentioned in this thread:

The FP14000 is more designed for ULF work than the 10000Q judging by LG's specs. I'd run one FP14000 for every two 5400 drivers. FP1000Q is four channels, running four from one amp is pushing it imo.

Also, amp porn.

Notnyt,
The fees are certainly reasonable. I was worried about much bigger bills.

Thank you for the description. A big help for us less EE inclided folks. Would you mind elaborating on this comment. "I used 5 watt wire wound to be on the safe side." Not sure what you mean by this.

those were in reference to the resistors he used to quiet down the 60mm fans that he said still felt a bit loud

But I think the actual quote is:

"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer"

The quote appears to be a distortion of Plutarch's "Life of Alexander"

"Such contentedness and change of view in regard to every kind of life does the infusion of reason bring about. When Alexander heard from Anaxarchus of the infinite number of worlds, he wept, and when his friends asked him what was the matter, he replied, "Is it not a matter for tears that, when the number of worlds is infinite, I have not conquered one? "

That looks wicked. Those amps light up like a christmas tree. LOL.

I bet that must be very intense in your room.

the 2 i ordered have apparently shipped. fingers crossed.

will need to run some new power lines for these, i opted for the 110v version. Hoping i can get someone to come run those soon too. Living room with multiple dedicated outlets, this will be fun.
I ordered two as well, 240v ones. I have one dedicated 20a @ 240v circuit for my bass currently which I plan to up-size to 30a when both amps will be running.

tracking number shows that these ship from HK! not bad, should have them soon

So what was the original youtube link you posted with the lower fans? Were those just the 80mm fans and not the 60mm?

No, it was 80mm and 60mm fans replaced, 60m fans with resistors on them as well.

got my 2 in today, they somehow had the damn address wrong and were somewhere else with them

at first glance, i think i noticed the power cable being 14awg.

how do you tell the difference between 120v version vs 220v version.

had a quick glance at work, will look into them when i get home, looks like the packaging held up so far!
