I guess Parminder Nagra is going to have to find something else to do to pay the bills other then lying in bed all day. How much acting talent does it take to play someone in a coma for nine episodes? Yeah, there were the flashbacks... She is a much better actress, and deserves better than that.

Based on the end of last night's show, she'll still have at least a couple hours to get some more screen time in... It is a shame about the renewal chances though. It's different enough with it's hook to make it fun to me. Unfortunately, even if there's some decent revelation next week, it's unlikely to be really satisfying as it will be probably be much more of a cliff hanger/enticer than any sort of real wrap up. Although, based on this article it sounds like they were still shooting the finale just a couple weeks ago so maybe they really will try to give it some semi-finality. And hey, at least it sounds like we'll get to see them recreate the most famous car chase in SF movie history

I'm enjoying Alcatraz and looking forward to the 2-hour season finale. Hope it gets picked up for another season.

Yup, Bullit was the best chase scene ever with the one in Ronin a close second.

I think that Ronin wins hands down, that is an unreal chase scene, it's much longer and involves more cars and different terrain and locations. Bullit was the state of the art at the time. That's just my opinion. I was begining to like Alcatraz, oh well "another one bites the dust".

Yeah, except for one small flaw...Steve McQueen's car had FIVE HUBCAPS fly off.

That model/year Mustang had a hubcap for the spare.

You're dating yourselves, what's a "hubcap"?

They kept passing the same Volkswagen, too.

Back to topic. I stopped watching Alcatraz. They weren't moving the story along enough. How did these convicts (and others) show up 5 decades later, un-aged? Temporal displacement, or cold sleep? (Plot hints at latter.) What really went on and what's going on presently with these agendas they all have?

You should've kept watching it.

That's a sweet car!

Unless the show does something amazingly inventive and creative in the finale I won't be back if the show squeaks a renewal. I've already relegated this to background noise. It only requires me to look up every fifteen minutes or so to follow. The majority of the show is generic and forgettable Criminal Minds castoffs. Seen one serial killer and you've seen a billion. Because based on television shows that's how many there are in the US alone.

I did enjoy SNAFU in the most recent episode.

I did as well..... Rami Malek hasn't had a bunch of work, but it is picking up since The Pacific.

You do not want to miss tonight's two final episodes of the season.

No way is Tommy coming out of that wreck conscious.

Are they going to be able to revive Rebecca now? Or is it all over?

You know he has super-healing, right? They spent a whole lot of time on the plot-point that the "magic blood" heals people that have it.

I suspect that if this show doesn't get canceled, we will find out that Tommy dosed his granddaughter... knowing that she would heal.

They spent too much time on the backstory having Tommy be an ass to his younger brother to get him to go away and take care of his son... IF he truly was a bad guy and killed his wife, he wouldn't have had that noble of a sacrifice in him for his son. I'm convinced they showed us that, so that they could shock us with him knifing his granddaughter for the cliffhanger... but then next season can reveal he knew she would be ok.

It was better than most of the latter episodes, but it didn't blow me away. If it comes back I'll probably keep watching for the episodes that are not just chasing serial killers and skipping through others, but the serialized skew in the finale is really too little too late to make me lament it's possible passing.

The first hour was better than the Ford commercial that followed but it was full of the usual annoying tropes that are typical of this type of series.
"You can ask me anything and I'll try to answer."

"Really? Wow. Okay let me think ... should I ask about what happened on the night you left? What do remember? Was anything strange happening on Alcatraz? How did you get here? Where did you come back on how did Hauser find you? How long have you been in this time? How come you know what it would take a computer science expert 5-10 years to learn when you had never even seen a pocket calculator when you vanished? Maybe I should ask Hurley Soto if he has any questions. He probably has a million, billion being a Alcatraz history buff. No, no, I got it, what was my grandfather like?"
At least they didn't drag out the room reveal, so kudos to them for that. I can see it possibly meaning a change of locale for future criminal hunts, which I'm guessing will look a lot like Canada. The room was a bit underwhelming. Maybe there's a wormhole machine in there hidden behind stacks of bunny cages or something.

If the show comes back I'm expecting the massive ring on the finger of Dr. Science at the end to signify some kind of secret organization dating back centuries. The League of Temporal Templars or something.

As for Rebecca. Well, don't really care one way or another about her character so the ending wasn't shocking or suspenseful. I'm half expecting her to die so the show can bring in someone a bit more interesting. Even the hot coroner I thought was more entertaining and she's barely on screen. The scene a few weeks ago when she asked Hurley on a date I thought was pretty funny.

Note to cops and criminals in a standoff - if someone is standing in front of a huge, unobstructed window, they are probably going through it one way or another.

Or she does die & her corpse is brought to the "shiny" Alcatraz & they give her some silver/blood cocktail....WAKE UP!

Not sure "super-healing powers" could prevent loss of consciousness.

Felt sorry for the poor sap whose car 'becca borrowed and promised not to hurt it. Ouch.
