samsung 2333hd wrong picture size while running 1080p as external monitor

hello everybody
i recently purchased samsung 2333hd as an external monitor to my hp pavilion.
unfortunately after connecting the monitor via VGA and setting the resolution to 1080p the picture displayed on the monitor is distorted: it is stretched horizontally and moved vertically by approximately 1inch, resulting in some inaccessible areas of the desktop (the top and the right of the desktop) and a black bar at the bottom

in short the picture looks like that : (lets pretend that the red color represents the edges of the monitor )
first part: thats how it should display
second part: thats how it displays at the moment


any body know the solution for my problem ?

for some reason the problem solved itself . . . i don't know how
i've been looking through available options in "display settings" then advanced settings/ then tab intel graphic media accelerator driver for mobile and then a prompt pup up that a program needs my permittiin to start i clicked "allow" and bam it works in 1080p !
