Doesn't work for me. Set is a 40EX720 and my remote doesn't have i+, but where that button is shown in the link my remote has "display". I press that (Display), 5, vol+, i/o and the tv comes on normally. I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. Thanks.

Wierd. Havent seen same TVs having different looking remotes that often.

The i+ may be relocated and renamed. It is the button that in my remote shows information on the screen, what input and what scene I have on.

Yes, that's it. Apparently they've simply renamed it to "display". Still, that sequence does not work for me.

Hi, i have problems with some large (13GB) 1080p .mp4 files using USB hard drive. TV shovs error : "Playback is not available". What is the problem? I have 55EX720.
This file was converted form .mkv, other mp4 files is playing good.

PKG3.808AAA this morning--hopfully 3D improvement
post #1386 of 1972
interesting question:

which settings are best for SD broadcast. I mean that 4:3 to 16:9 people look very fat on TV. how can I minimize that issue? I use that:

Wide Mode = Full
Auto Wide = Off
Auto Display Area = Off
Display Area = Full Pixel

Polite Bump

Does anyone else with a 40EX720 know how to access the service menu (the "i+" key has been renamed to "display" and while I'd think the same sequence of buttons should work, it doesn't - at least not for me). Thanks.

Press the aspect ratio button (one right from the 3D button), try different settings there.

My TV is the EX700 from 2010 and I remember the limit of the files were 4GB max. That's all I remember, since I don't do video.

Check Sony website. They usually post the info about a week or so after the auto download.

Batman Arkham City 3D on Xbox 360 looks pretty good, almost free of crosstalk and no top 20% problems. This is because it is Frame Packing 3D, sony's preferred method... unfortunately my cable box and all my other 360 games are Side by Side 3D. I have not checked the other games since I got a new slim, or since the update yesterday, but I doubt that has changed... Sony wants you to use their stuff alone. The refresh rate on this TV (being that it is low tier) is just not high enough, and I doubt that can be fixed by software.

Do you still feel glasses could though? I was considering buying the monster vision glasses but if the screen itself is only a 120hz screen can the glasses even be changed to exceed anything but 60hz per eye?

Two questions:

1. What settings are good for eliminate motion blur? (I use standart/auto1)
2. In advanced settings "auto light limiter" can be improve black level?

I would assume it's Sony's own glasses.
I think Sony recommends the TDG-BR250 be paired with the EX720 series.
I'd say this looks like a great bundle for now.

I believe the ps3 glasses have been said to be a little better as they have a better battery life and better lenses. That's not from experience that's from what I've read on here. I can tell you from experience if you tilt your head just a little with the 250's you'll lose the 3d

Cheaper. But far from better. I hate em.

Did you also have the 100's or 250's before them?

I have the newest ones. I'm not sure which model they are. I just know they are for the PS3. I'll do a quick check and see.
