Audio Dropping Out On My Harman Kardon AVR1600

I just got my AVR1600 last Friday. I've been noticing that every time I watch a movie (DVD or Blu-ray) the audio drops out for about a second. Most noticeably when it goes to a different scene. It's consistent throughout the movie and it happens about every 10-15minutes. This also happens when I watch a movie on HBO or Showtime. Is there any reason why it would do this? I have it set up 5.1 via HDMI. My Blu-ray player is an LG BD390. I've never had any issues with it with my other receiver. Thanks
