The high damage + nice stat weapons sell for a lot more then 300k and I don't have the kind of money needed to buy those :P

Wish I could buy a weapon with that much DPS for this money. I can't seem to find a weapon I'm looking for for my money. I have 500k+ waiting for a weapon

Finally got the time to play with my friend so we made it to Inferno last night after rolling thru Act 4 Hell like a breeze without a death and any trouble... even pulling two packs of champions at time

Inferno... we're getting killed frequently by packs of champions We had fun with a group of Plagued, Extra health, Shielding, Descecrator, Electrocuted Bats in a cave And my friend (DH) dies in one frozen explosion

We made it to Skeleton King with 5 Nephalem Valor Buffs, we took him down. Had to revive my friend during the fight (he does a good amount of DPS but he's soft!).

My general stats to give an idea:
Monk lvl 60
35k Hp
7.5k DPS (need to raise that with new Weapon... currently looking for upgrades)
3.4k Armor
41.6% chance to doge
496 Resists to all.

Once I get my DPS up a bit it will probably be different. Right now I don't die easy but I don't kill fast enough to my taste

I can't beat diablo. Level 32 demon hunter normal mode. Any clues?
I started the game over from the beginning and it took me all the way to belial before I reached level 33.
So far I've found one legendary item, a helm. Over Powered demon hunter early in the game is a hoot. Just fire off the electric bolt and watch it zap everything on the screen in one shot.

He'll rip a DH apart up close. You need to keep moving. Respec for the fight.

Put hungering arrow on left click, so you don't have to be precise and you can shoot at him while he's off screen at just let the arrows home in.

Put impale on right click to dump all your hatred into him and do as much damage as quickly as possible.

Throw down a sentry, to whittle him away. Definitely use the arrow rain every 30 seconds.

Above all, use vault or smokescreen to just keep away from him.

Diablo is actually a pretty easy fight, but you need a ton of patience because he takes a long time to kill and you need to kite constantly. If you start getting impatient and try to "risk" your kiting to do some damage, you are probably going to get 1-2 shot.

I don't have DH experience, but make sure you equip at least 3 defensive / kiting abilities, and rotate between them.

There are 2 health buckets on the main map, make sure you kite back and forth so that these are available to you if you need them.

Try to move perpindicular to him rather then moving backwards away. He shoots that fire ability which goes straight until it hits you, so you need to be moving up/down in relation to him so that it misses.

When the floor things start rumbling just run and don't try to do damage. Dodge all the cages or you'll eat big damage. If you get caught, start spamming a defensive ability so that right after he does his headbutt thing, you can get away and recover.
Thanks, I did notice that moving in a figure 8 pattern rather than in a circle kept diablo far away from me like you said perpendicular, but if I stop moving for more than a second then the cages get me and it's game over. I get to the shadow part of the fight and then my shadow clone kills me pretty quick. I might make level 34 before I reach diablo again. Maybe my new legendary helm will be the key. It's not going to be my awsome skills with keyboard and mouse, thats for sure.

You could also make a trip to the AH and gear up. Buy gear with vit as one of the stats so you have a bit more of a health cushion when you make mistakes.

Are you using the Templar follower? I always use him and have him trained with all the health/survivability spells.
Yeah, the health fountains are key. It's going to be very difficult not to get badly hurt at least a few times, probably more often than your potions cool down.

Play with one other person and diablo won't be able to even touch you. I feel as if this game is meant to be played with others vs alone.

For the long range (DH and Wizard) playing with a melee (Barb or Monk) is so helpful. Or you can try with the templar. Can you bring the follower templar to Diablo fight?

I agree tho that this game is so much more fun and effective playing with others (Always depend with who you're playing with tho!)
Have a guy up close ( Barbarian ) and have a guy from affair ( wizard ) and you will destroy pretty much any boss out there.
I have been using the Templar as my 'tank' for most of the game. Problem is when I went to say hello to diablo my templar and eventually the angel that ran in there with me were caught in a cage. So it was me all alone before the fight even started.

Was it the temporary bone cage or a permanent one? I only took Diablo down once alone (with my barb without any follower) so never tried it.
It seemed to me like the follower was deliberately taken away from you. He was all like "go on without me!"....so I did.

Oops! I forgot about this when I posted, no he definitely does not want to help you fight Diablo.

"Hmm, fight Diablo huh? Uhh... I think... my mom is calling... Oh hey! I got caught in a cage, definitely can't help you. Sorry!"

God, if you want to destroy things, do a barbarian....using a 2hander, on nightmare, I had Diablo dead in 3mins30seconds, (all 3 phases). You do have to be smart in phase 3 and step out of the lightning, but GG on wrath of the berserker. Asmodean was even more nuts...about 45 seconds, just standing in everything .

Yeah barbs feel really powerful early on but they hit a wall later on and are REALLY gear dependant. (just a warning )

Me and my friend are making some progress in Inferno (almost cleared Act 1). I modified my build a little bit and I don't die alot now (he still does because he's so soft ). I removed one of my Spirit Generator and included Serenity (with the healing rune) in my build. I can now protect myself for 3 seconds and regain my health every 20 seconds. Very useful in Inferno! now I know why people use it

Still...need... weapon upgrades! I cleared my AH money, kept some there in case I got hacked. Turned out there was more than I was thinking... went from 660k to 1,250M Now need to find proper weapons

PS: Playing Wizard with a friend barb is sooooooo fun. Alone it's meh but with a meatshield... fun fun fun

I found the best guide for farming Act IV Inferno for monks. It can also work for Barb.

LOL thanks Dashboard. I have a few friends with Witch doctors, so I will just run with them instead of rolling and leveling one .

Do you guys think it is better to use a two handed weapon with the barbarian or a one handed and a shield for protection/bonuses. I am torn.

This is on normal, but also interested in nightmare as I will be hitting it soon.
I personally don't like using a two handed weapon. It isn't as fast and doesn't do as much damage as dual weapons.

It depends on the skills you use. Keep in mind you will hit slower but probably way higher

For my barb (lvl 48 right now) I only used Dual Wield with Frenzy and Cleave. Pretty fun

I will probably try 2hand one time (when I get to lvl 60 and find a nice weapon). Don't know if it will work in Inferno tho

"Farming?"

You did play previous versions of the game right?

Ok, I will go easy on you... this time.

"Farming" is the process of clearing out an area multiple times in the hope that a unique or rare item would be dropped... This is similar to doing "Boss Runs" over and over again, as some areas of the game tend to drop better items than others. Usually when doing this you would load up on any items in your inventory that would increase your magic find %. This was quite commonly done in D2.

Then you will discover what Diablo is all about

Diablo 3 changed the idea a bit tho, now you hunt and kill packs of champion and not just boss-runs like in Diablo 2.

But you'll keep saying... just one more run then I'm going to bed

Took these suggestions and smoked Diablo on the first go. Level 32 Monk.
