Used Epson ProCinema 7500 vs new 8700?

I found an Epson Pro Cinema 7500 for $1100 on craigslist. However, I was planning on getting an 8700 on Monday. If I check out this used unit and it works, should I go for it? I'm a first time projector buyer and $1100 sounds like a steal. The only drawback is if the warranty is over. Please help me out!

Just spend the extra money and get a new one. $1100 is a lot of money to flush down the toilet if the projector is defective down the road.

Thanks for the input. I will definitely go with the new 8700. The warranty will give me peace of mind too just in case anything goes wrong.
