Agree 100%, no real surprise here, but still enjoyable.

Highly doubtful, they haven't in the past, they showcase a lot of new shows, but I highly doubt they'll show them all, especially since it's on a pay channel Cinemax.

Jeez, are they gonna end every other episoded with a cliffhanger? Nice lean terrorist tatas though.

The first season (yes this is actually the second season) also had the 6 episodes grouped by 2...

Entertaining, especially considering this summer's thin pickings.

I'm sorry, what? This isn't the first season of this show? This is from another channel or something?

As for the most recent episode, holy cow. Tell me they didn't just do what they made it look like they did. And the preview for next week keeps up appearances, too...

Yep, there was a 6 ep season on BBC in 2010 with the guy (Richard Armitage) that bought it in this seasons ep 1. He's filming The Hobbit now, so I guess that's a better gig...or don't get attached to any lead characters. I don't believe that Scott bought it in the explosion...we'll see.

Good to know, thanks.

The BBC version has a Season 1 and a Season 2 going on now. The Cinemax version just started.

Strike Back wasn't a BBC show in the UK - it was commissioned by Sky and aired on Sky One. The first series aired a while back and is out on DVD/Blu-ray here.

(Sky is the main satellite pay-TV platform - though Sky One, their general entertainment channel is also available on cable for competition reasons. Sky One is a 'basic' channel - you have to subscribe to watch it, but it isn't a premium channel)

Not all British TV is made by the BBC - though a LOT of the original stuff is

Ahh, sorry Either way, the Cinemax version and UK Sky version are different shows altogether.

I think they are exactly the same except Cinemax has picked up just season 2 of the series. Season 1 explains how Porter comes to get his dishonorable discharge. Season 1 is only 6 episodes, while season 2 is 10....

huh. Well I'm watching Season 1 of the UK version and Season 2 of the US version. when I get to Season 2 of the UK version I guess I'll know.

This series has some of the attributes of "24" that brought me before the silliness overran the show. Good casting and production values. The explosion cliff-hanger confirms that the "24" formula is at work here.

Wow!!

The last half hour was spectacular.

Can't wait for Showtime's Homeland.

Definitely. I was thinking the same thing. Really really enjoying this.

When all the plots being hatched take place in the storage room of command headquarters we will know they are ripping off "24."

Agree. I continue to be pleasantly surprised by this show. Enjoying it very much.

Yeah, good episode last night. I guess it's their goal to show someone getting shot in the head in every episode? Nice of them to mix things up and show the shot from behind this time

Good episode tonight. Loving this show.

Wow, are we half way through the season already? They need to make this 24 episodes for season 3.

This is a ten episode season, and tonight is episode eight. The first season, (not shown in the US as far as I know, but definitely NOT on Cinemax) only had six episodes, according to IMDB. The ten episodes seem to be set in two-episode stories, with an overall arc of getting the terrorist Latif. I assume he'll get his at the end of the season.

I find this over the top actioner very entertaining. Delta Force guy is a cool breeze. I like the English Spec Ops too, but he's a bit of a stuff shirt, so nice contrast. The situations are pretty ridiculous, but when a guy sends you a hideaway gun stuffed in a decaying head, what's not to like.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode.

The season finale could be a real shocker. Looking forward to it.

This show is so much more action packed than Homeland is.
