I don't think I have ever seen the original, but this sure was fun.
CF was chewing (excuse the pun) up the scenery and was obviously having a good time with it.

Oh....and I am going to let that little Twilight dig go by without commenting....

I finally saw Fright Night on one of the pay cable channels the other night and loved it. Colin Farrell was delightful as the neighborhood vampire and David Tennant (the former Dr. Who) was just as much fun in a role that defies description. When the credits rolled I understood why I thought the film was so entertaining. The screenplay was written by Marti Noxon, who had a long association with Joss Whedon, primarily on Buffy, as a producer and writer. She is a talented lady. There is no risk that Fright Night will ever be considered a great picture but it is nonetheless a good one, full of fun and excitement. 7 Stars out of 10.
