My brother is setting up a theater in his basement, but he'd like to get a receiver that can power a couple speakers in his upstairs living room as zone 2. So the first question is, can this be done with a 7.1 receiver that allows the two rears to be assigned as zone 2? Keep in mind that he'd like to be able to control the volume of zone 2 with a remote that stays upstairs in the living room. Second question, his tv upstairs has an audio out jack (2 channel).....I'm assuming he can run this down to the receiver and connect as any random analog audio in. Then assign the zone 2 to that analog audio source? Lastly, do receivers care what the impedance is of the speakers it's powering? He's already purchased the Jamo S606 seen here:

They run at 6 ohms, but most stuff I see is based on 8 ohms.
All of this assumes he gets a receiver that has a separate zone 2 remote input which this one does:

Are there any other options out there?
