Thanks
and it never will - it's Mediatek SDK limitation - so no luck! However profile 5.X is out of spec anyway .....

Is there any news about LX55 (53FD) Pre Activated CFW?
I think it's only available from our Chinese friends for a lot of bucks or with the player. I don't think that anybody is working on a hacked Chinese FW. Even hacked by the Russians Chinese 5.0x for 140-150 requires pretty odd manipulations for installation.

Hi all,

is there anyone who can confirm the max quantity of Files readable on a NAS using the cfw for the 440? Stock Firmware doesnt allow me to view all of my files due to its restriction.
Any News about showing the Track number of Audio CDs on the Front LCD using the cfw Or is it still Not working?

All the best!

I finally installed the activation Free CW on my BDP-440 after my region A PS3 suddenly stated to show the Pip on the Sunshine Blu-ray and there was no way to turn it off.

However, I'm having some issues. I changed the Region to Region A (It's a Region B machine) but during playback it sometimes starts to Fast forward, skip chapters or just stops playback. I had problems with Sunshine (thought it might have something to do with the PiP track), It's Always sunny in Philadelphia Season 6 Disc 1. Also the same problems with playback from videofiles from an external HDD.
However, the region free copy of Premium Rush played without a hitch. I didi reset it to factory defaults before doing the update. Any ideas why it does this?

Hi Tompa,

Try the activation version, I've heard a lot about of the "Activation free" FW doing this.

I've posted links to all of the Firmware here: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1390589/the-pioneer-bdp-61fd-63fd-150-450-lx56-2012-blu-ray-player-thread/60

Does the 450 CFW work with the 440?
Question to Bdp-150 and iControlAV2012 users:

I am planning to buy the bdp-150 to listen to high res 5.1 audio bluray discs. Because I haven't got a display or tv set with hdmi or composite video imput, I wonder if the iControlAV2012 iPad app could be used to access the top menu of the inserted BRD to select the preferred audio track. The manual of the app only mentions access to basic BDP operations but on the screenshots I can see TOP MENU select button.

Thanks MortUK, still som problems. How come the serial number doesn't show up for me? I'm following the instructions from the russian site but all I get is the FW version.
Quote:
To activate the modified firmware need to know the serial number and MAC address of the player. MAC address can be found in the network settings. Home menu -> Options -> Network -> Information -> Next screen. The serial number can be seen after installing the modified firmware Home menu -> Options -> System Information -> Next screen. Using the serial number and MAC address of the player to get the activation code.

You have to install CFW first. Then you'll see the SN.

I think our Ch-nese friends are well aware about 4.0x CFW saga so it's not very important to protect such links. However five zero X should remain outside of the easy access in the public domain for some time as it's still a bit sensitive issue and they can patch the discovered loopholes if they see closely what we are doing with this stuff....

You are right mate! I know what you mean. Some people don't give a monkey when they come to things like that. I don't think they do it on purpose - they just don't get that this may be the last CFW they have if this goes to the wrong hands such an easy way! Mr. C H A N is watching you!

So ive bought a 440. Which strangely was region free (for DVD) out of the box , although it was demo stock. Sadly i loaded cfw 4.03, and whilst it still played everything and was VERY responsive, the zoom button wouldnt work and there were a few other quirks. So i went back to 2.19, and now i cant play region 1 dvds (its a region 4/b machine). When i load the cfw 4.03 back onto the machine, i cant play any regions at all as it says "wrong region".

Im sure most of you are saying i shouldve left it as it was, and you would be right, but its strange that with the cfw 4.03 that i cant play ANY dvd's at all. Is there something im doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated....
may be ZOOM and INDEX buttons are swapped on the remote (valid for bdp-140). Go back to CFW and make DVD region free and you can swap BD region as many times as u want
post #1677 of 1810
and more. to make DVD region free and change BD zone

Press the "Home menu" button on the player
Select Initial Settings
Press on the player buttons 3 3 4 4
change location
for DVD 0, 1-6. 0 - Multizone
for BD 1,2,4. 1 = A, 2 = B, 4 = C

"index" and "zoom" buttons swap only on CFW of course
post #1678 of 1810
Thank you Borland. Everything works now smile.gif although i've noticed when playing Audio CD's (CDDA) the track number is not displayed on the physical display next to the counter. Is this normal for cfw?
Hi. Ive been looking for a fra cfw for the lx-55. I would love to make it region free on blu-ray discs.

Anyone tried this? I suppose it is for the lx-55, but i dont know the features.

There's no activation-free version of CFW for BDP-LX55.
