Im currently using CFW 4.03 on a BDP-440, and for some reason, only when playing BD or DVD Movies, the player likes to randomly switch off or fast forward. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know how to fix this??
I just bought a BDP-150 and im looking forward to try the cfw on this player. (I have the lx-55, but found this one very cheap in norway today)

Maybe your TV doesn't support PAL? I think ive read that somewhere on this earlier in this thread.

Looks like you use activation free FW 4.03 for BDP-440.
Ive used the FW from MortUK's links, and they're supposed to require activation. I have activated them myself with no problems. And the TV i have accepts PAL/NTSC. Edited by vbmagus - 4/20/13 at 4:30am
have no clue what CFW you've downloaded from MortUK links but let's hope it's OK. So - reset to factory, re-flash CFW, factory setting, activate, check. good luck
I tried od BDP- lx-55 external hdd 2TB with 2 partitiones 1st about 500 GB fat 32, and second the rest NTFS. Works fine on player. I am interesting is any one tried 3 TB drive in two partitiones ( 1TB + 2TB NTFS)?
Ok, im in the process of buying the cfw from the chineese "studendts". I paid around 200$ for it, so i hope it turns out OK. A modchip would cost me around 300$, so well see. An agent is processing the order trhough taobao at this moment.
Oh dear! I've bought brand new BDP-140 for $100! Why did you buy it? Are you desperate for NFS and Samba and network playback? However if you share you experience with Chinese FW (what version, network problems etc) it would be highly appreciated. Between me and - you don't need to buy from Chinese if you need NFS and Samba...

I need audio return channel like i have on the lx-55, and want it region free on BD. Yeah, i use network playback alot, and would be nice to have the ability to use BD-iso. I dont wanne trade it for 140 or have 2 players (the 140 costs around 200-250$ over here in Norway) I know the price is high for the cfw, but a modchip would cost me nearly 300 bucks, and that would have made it region free only on BD. The fw offers nice features aswell

I feel sorry for you man. You don't need to buy Chinese FW for this. Free CFW 4.03 without activation (or with free activation) gives you DVD region free, BD Zone free (2 clicks on the remote to choose BD Region), BD ISO support and 3D BD ISO support over USB..... and DVD-Audio support for home made disks... Try 4.03 and see yourself...

@bendikh, if you are into sacd.iso's then it may salve you that there will be Chinese CFW's released (hopefully in few days) for sacd.iso playback on Pio 140/150/440. I think you won't need to pay for that fw upgrade. Should it be the case and happen I'm looking forward to hearing your experiences on sacd.iso playback.

That's cool. Did you try to play sacd.iso's? What is your experience?
Well, finally got the cfw installed and activated. Man, what a process!
The first thing i was after, was region free on bd. For the activation to work, i had to type 6666 in the menu (not 1122). For getting it region free, i had to type 9999 on the initial setup menu. Took me some time to figure that out. The agent at yoybuy was really helpfull serving me. I will try SACD-iso and tell you how it works.
No. As I read at a relevant Chinese forum sacd.iso's should play fine from HDD (attached through USB or mayba from NAS). Afaik an SACD disc should be inserted during the sacd.iso playback.
Unfortunately I updated to 5.09 official before I heard of the CFW. Do you think it would be possible to use CFW 5.10 to flash and then downgrade to CFW 4.04 to get around the restrictions?
(Sorry, wrong forum - this is actually about the BDP-450) Edited by HeresJohnny - 5/14/13 at 3:01pm
