New Living Room Home Theater Build, Need input and ideas

Hey guys. I am planning to start putting together my new home theater system in my living room. I need your input on what gear I should look into and if it would be worth buying any sound trapping materials to put in the corners or the walls.

I posted a video that shows the room and my ideas about speaker placement and what I could do to help the sound quality by adding some sound deadening to the corners.
Please watch it here-->http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udeLujNmfu0

Here is the gear I have selected so far.

Display - LG 250PK 60 inch Plasma
Mains - Paradigm Studio 60s v5
Center Paradigm Studio 590 v5
Rears Paradigm Studio 20s v5
Subwoofer - SVS PB12-NSD
AVR - Integra DTR-40.2
Amplifier - Parasound 2205a
AV Stand - undecided

For sound treatment, I want to keep it simply and cheap.
Here are 2 items I was looking at buying ( no affiliation )

Corner Bass traps --> http://cgi.ebay.com/Next-CornerBassT...item4159b9c93d

For the Walls--> http://cgi.ebay.com/2-ACOUSTICAL-FOA...item27b9db2765

I would love to hear any ideas you guys have. Thanks!

Your room looks a little challenging, the doorways are in tough spots and the center loos loike it may have to be placed off center. Keeping the speakers timber matched will help a lot if you have to make level adustmensts due to placement.

Also, you may want to wall mount the TV and run the center on a stand or on the table. You could also make a custom mount box for under the tabletop if you want to leave it on the table.

Would this older amplifier work well with the Paradigm?
Parasound HCA-855A http://www.audioreview.com/cat/ampli...8_1583crx.aspx

I was thinking if I am getting this level of speakers it wouldn't hurt to buy a used pre/pro and a separate amp. Its only 85watts per channel but it should still be loud enough to drive the 60s right?

Update: Just purchased the Studio 60s v5 on Audiogon and the 590 v5 center channel on eBay. I spent $2300 so far for those three speakers.

imo, you can get some decent gear in here, but it should be in smaller size. I would think the best way to go for sound may be to get a smaller sattelite speaker system. Stay away from big towers and monster subs, simply because it would be way beyond overkill for such a small room. One thing I've learned is that too much sound in a small room can actually kill the experience. However, if you plan on moving in the next few years it may be worth it to buy now.

I choose to go with the studio 60s and 590 center because they can handle the mid/lower frequencies a bit better than the satellites. Do you mean to say that larger speakers can not sound as good as smaller satellites in a small to midsize room? I haven't heard that before. I can understand you don't need as many decibels to fill the room though. I plan on having a dedicated HT room in a basement in the next few years when I purchase a house though.

I found a local guy selling a Parasound 2205A. It might be overkill for my room but it should be great for the future. Am I stupid not to take it for $775?

I contacted a local dealer who has helped me in the past and he emailed me last night. Now I'm going to pick up a demo unit Integra DHC 40.2 pre/pro for $800. I don't think I can beat that. Should go well with the Parasound. Only thing left to buy is surround speakers.

EDIT* /UPDATE It turns out they only had the DTR 40.2 in stock and not the DHC. I went ahead and got it. What are the main differences between the DRT 40.2 and the DHC 40.2? Is there a comparison sheet anywhere?
