Yes, but Blu-ray 3D is not m2ts, that is the point. For example, I have the Avatar 3D Blu ray which contains both the 3D and 2D version. If you open up the ISO the 2D version is the m2ts files, the 3D version is in the SSIF folder. Clown_BD does not handle SSIF (i.e. tsMuxeR/eac3to does not which is what Clown_BD uses)

Ok, I understand now. So there are no options at this moment to go from .iso=>.m2ts without any picture quality loss?

Yes, there are plenty of options for lossless (Clown_BD, tsMuxeR, etc...). My point is you cannot go from Blu-ray 3D -> m2ts (which is what it seems like you want to do), but you can go from Blu-ray 2D ISO -> standalone m2ts

I know I can go 2D=>.m2ts but I have over 70 3D .iso Blu-ray on my HDD and the Oppo BDP-93 player does not support .iso anymore so I looking for a way to play them.

Mounting the .iso with Virtual Clone Drive is an option but the folder outcome is 2x! the original .iso so 80-100gig per movie! Also the Oppo does not 'seem to like' BDMV structure folder and hangs from time to time.

.mkv is a no-go because the Oppo does not support high def audio with .mkv.

.m2ts seems to be the best option because .m2ts is high def audio + DLNA supported by the Oppo.

Looking forward to a solution!

Well, right now there is no Blu-ray 3D -> m2ts solution. The only option for you would be to buy one of the Realtek 1186 players which supports Blu-ray 3D. There are still a bit buggy but should serve as a stop gap

And also another question: is there a way to add subtitles to a 3D blu-ray .iso?

Not that I know of, I don't believe there are any tools currently that allow you to modify/rebuild the 3D blu-ray structure (like you can do for 2D Blu-rays using tsMuxeR)
so if i want 3d .m2ts the only option is dvdfab and have pq loss this way?

Is it ok for tools like zaplti to index movie database if name of ISO file as "file name space (year)"? I read in one of the thread to recommend name like this. I want to make sure.

I use Zappiti, and I name all of my movies "name (year)." I do m2ts, mkv and ISO's. My TV show ISO I name them according to how many shows that particular ISO has.

Example: Weeds / Season 1 / Weeds s01e01 s01e02 s01e03 s01e04 s01e05, and so one. Zappiti will recognize this and scrape posters for each episode.

Thanks for quick reply. It will help me lot to use year along with name. I thought it might not work with zappiti.

I am trying to refactor/reorganize movies and few serials. I have Universe series. I will try to name as you suggested.

Is anybody using Universe episodes from history channel to index using zappiti?

I have Blu-Ray 3D .iso and I want to add subtitles to them. The only thing you should know is that I want to add subtitles but I NEED to have the 3D .iso as end result to burn them on a BD-R DL disc!!!

Can this work in some way?

I am not sure. The technology still new. I am pretty sure in the future it will be easier.

Also, your images do not show.

How do you name iso file name properly for two disks like ten commandments to get indexed properly by tools zappiti or mymovie? Is it like this?

The ten commandments disk1 (1956).iso
The ten commandments disk2 (1956).iso

It should be the same as TV Shows.

One folder with both movie files, files name with disk1 / 2.

(folder) The Ten Commandments (year) / (file) The Ten Commandments disk1 and (file) The Ten Commandments disk2.

Thanks. I will try creating folder having two isos for disk1 and disk2. I remember having same problem for pride and prejudice. I will update after testing.

Some of the movies also have ":" in the title. I am removing it. Hope it is right. It is frustrating to index movie for some other title which does not belong to. I am trying to make sure everything is right.

I never knew before that I can add year in parenthesis next to the title. This is great help too.

You can always edit it with Zappiti to get the correct art.

I did name 2012 as "2012 (2005).iso". zappiti is thinking it as "pros & excons" . Don't know why.

It is failing to understand following file name to scrape

The Ten Commandments (1956)\\ The Ten Commandments Disk1.iso
The Ten Commandments (1956)\\ The Ten Commandments Disk1.iso

I also have to remove hyphen for spider-mane, x-2 etc to make it work.

Appreciate any help on naming 2012 and ten commandments.

I don't own either movie. So, I am not sure. However, you can send a PM to dbone, and I am sure he has the answer. He has a lot of experience with Zappiti.

I don't us "-" for any XMen movie.

Thanks. I will contact damian. I can live without hyphen. It is good to have year name after the title.

Wasn't 2012 done in 2009? This is the only one shown on tmdb.
On the 10 commandments, this is what I do.

1). When you rip, append a -disc1 after the file name. In example the ten commandments (1956)-disc1.ISO. Do the same for disc 2.

2) do a scan in zappiti.

3) in the scrape window, do not hit scrape all. Instead, select one of your files, and in the section on the bottom where it tells you what it will use for the scrape, delete the -disc1 part and then do a single file scan. Do the same for disc 2. You should now have 2 new movies in your catalog with the exact same info.

4) right click one of the movies and hit edit. On the bottom, it lists the full movie file name which includes the -disc1 or -disc2 portion. Type the disc info into the title section on the top of this screen and hit ok. Do the same for the other disc.

When you select either of the movies on the dune, the splash screen will now have the disc info. If you want, you could even right click on either of the titles and click change, to assign different cover art and/or backgrounds to further differentiate your two discs. I have done this on multi disc movies/sets or when I also want the bonus disc.

Thanks for providing excellent information. I guess this will not need folder to be created. I will try in the evening.

You are right about 2012 released in 2009. I will give it try. For few movies, I see "(I)" embedded in the movie. Does anybody know what does it mean or if it helps to have "(I)"?

Example
2012 (I) (2009)

No you do not need to create separate folders for each movie. I would just put disc 1 and 2 in the same folder, but that is entirely up to you.

With regards to the (I), I'm not sure as I haven't seen that. Are you saying this happens when you rip it (it embeds upon rip)? or when you scrape?

Either way, you can do the trick I was talking about to remove it from the title. I go into a lot of my movies post scrape and modify the title so they show up where I want them to.

Ie. I don't want "The Lord of the Rings" to show up under the T section, so I change the title to "Lord of the Rings, The", which puts them in the L section of my movies where I'd like to see them.

Sorry for confusion. I am not creating folders for everything. I only created folder for the ten commandments since it has two disks based on recommendation from gusgus748. All other movies are in root folder (f drive). The "(I)", I am talking about the title in imdb database. Here is the example.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190080/

I am copying all the titles as it is from ibmdb so that scraping process will not complain. I agree with you that the movies that start with "the" are too many and annoying to traverse. I think it is good idea to edit the title while scraping only.
I've got a folder/file for every movie. In my unRaid server, I've got a folder "Media," which has my "Movies" and "TV Shows" folders.

//tower/Media/Movies/Avatar(yr)/Avatar(yr).m2ts

I didn't have any issues scrapping with Zappiti.

Thread Starter
I have the Ten commandments. Zappiti will scan each ISO separately no matter what folder you put them in.

For example, on one of my servers I have a directory shared movies and shows/movies/movies-BR/. Under this directory I have my movie folders such as The Ten Commandments (1956). I setup Zappiti to scan for all movies in the movies-BR/ folder. In this case, it doesn't matter whether you have two folders for The Ten Commandments or one folder with subfolders. Zappiti locates and scans each ISO separately.

In my case, I have one folder for the Ten Commandments, then two subfolders one for each disc. Zappiti will scan it and you'll have two movies exactly the same (note: there is no entry for two different discs, you have to do this yourself). I then edit the entry to indicate one is Disc2 and I change the artwork.

I don't think the (I) helps with scraping. 80% of the time it will auto scrape correctly. The other 20% of the time you'll have to do a manual scrape. I've had a number of instances where I had to scroll down a list to find the correct entry. Not once do I recall seeing a letter in parenthesis that would have helped in the autoscrape.

If using zappiti, you want TI base your names on TMDB, not IMDB.

I agree. I have all my movies in sub folders. I was just trying to let the poster know he doesnt HAVE to use folders for proper scraping.
