Recently purchased CE12. Companion to Cary 7.125 amp and OPPO BDP-95. You guys are way ahead of me on the technical stuff. My question is, how do I enable video pass thru via HDMI?
When I plug the HDMI cable from either my Cable/DVR box or the Oppo directly into the TV (Pioneer Pro 110-FD - HDMI 1.3, no ARC) the TV sees both picture and audio.
When I plug the HDMI cable from either my Cable box or the Oppo into the CE12 HDMI In (1,2,3,or 4) and connect the CE12's HDMI out to the TV, select HDMI 1,2,3 or 4 as Input on the Cary, the TV sees neither video or audio. The CE12 does see and play the audio, however.
All HDMI cables 1.4 compliant.
Is there some sort of video enabling option I am missing? I did not spend a fair amount of money to get a "processor" that can't pass a video signal. I understand it is not supposed to be a video processor, (I got it for pre-amp quality) but it was my understanding that it would process the HDMI audio and pass thru the video.
I have attached a simplified hook-up schematic that shows how I have it set up now (I omitted full complement of surround speakers, showing Center only as 5.1 representative.) I sent this same diagram to Cary Technical Support before purchase, and they said it was correct.
Any help appreciated.
PS - I agree that the manual and remote are shockingly bad.
