"click" sound when turning on/off the receiver (Onkyo HT-S3400)

Newbie question:

Just bought an Onkyo HT-S3400. Everything sounds great. One thing I noticed is that when I turn on/off the receiver, I could hear one or two fairly loud "click" sound from inside the receiver. Is this normal? I heard it could be caused by relay clicking? I've double checked all the wires.

Thanks in advance!

usually the "click" is a relay switching the amplifiers into contact with the speaker outputs. This prevents an equally loud and distorted "pop" from going to each speaker as the amplifier circuits fire up, or turn off.
