mini HTPC build (Habey EMC-800B, i3-2100T, SSD, etc.) - KEEPING IT SIMPLE - Page 13

Can anyone weigh in on if the habey internal psu will work fine with an 18v supply instead of 12v? the price difference on 12v 10a bricks vs 18v 6.5a is huge... Habey doesn't list the input spec for the supply. frown.gif

I sent an email to habeyusa's contact info and asked for the input spec. I'll post back here if I get a response!

Andres Morales andres.morales@habeyusa.com:

It is 12V only.

We bundled it with 60W brick because most of the boards use with this case
are low power Atom based.

Thanks you,

Looks like the 18v adapter listed by the assassin guy will not work(or at least is not supported and thus voids your warranty) with the stock habey psu... sadness.

The DC powerboard in the Habey is either this one (EMC600): http://www.minicase.net/product_LR1005-120W12VDC.html or this one (EMC800): http://www.minicase.net/product_LR1005-120W12VDC-Q.html. Those pages have the full specs.

The 18v won't work with the stock psu but it will work with the 120wide pico
