First off here's my set up:
Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3
i3-550 3.2 GHz (Clarkdale)
2-2MB Corsair DDR3
Now to the issues:
One:
Drive P0 in BIOS is a SAMSUNG SpinPoint MT2 HM100UI 1TB 5400 RPM 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s. This boot is my original boot set up. The issue here is pretty simple, I think. This is set up with Win7x86 with Shark007 for playback of HD Audio and Live TV. Everything was working fine until about a week back when I started getting BSOD's when the computer would go into S3 mode. I am not sure but I think this started after installing the Gigabyte On-Off Charge software. I have not un-installed this as of yet because I really want to use this to charge my keyboard during the day when the computer is in S3 but I suppose I could.
Currently I just don't let it sleep and I don't get the BSOD but that isn't a very good solution. Is anybody using the On-Off Charge software? If you are are you experiencing issues with it? Is this my issue?
Two:
Drive P1 in BIOS is a Kingston SSDNow V+ Series 2.5 Solid State Drive - SNVP325-S2/64GB. This is my second boot set up. I was using this drive with Win7x86 to test out some different system settings using LAV filters to see if I could get it to playback HD Audio and Live TV concurrently. In the middle of testing I got a situation where it would not boot so I decided to repair with the USB Win7x86 SP1 installation "disc" I have. That didn't fix the issue so I went for a full install with format of the Kingston SSD. After installing the Windows Updates it again would post but fail to boot into Windows.
After some aggrevation and casternation I decided to do the updates without the Windows Update provided intel graphics driver. Every thing was going along just fine until I went to Intel's website and downloaded the the latest driver (version 15.22.1.2361 (8.15.10.2361) dated 4/13/2011 for IntelĀ® integrated graphics.) which caused the machine to post but fail to boot to Windows. I can get in using safe mode and roll the driver back to the generic VGA driver that comes with Windows and all is fine even though I'm using HDMI. Then I tried installing the previous driver (version 15.21.13.2342 (8.15.10.2342) for IntelĀ® integrated graphics dated 3/29/2011) which again causes the machine to not boot into windows.
This one is a little more complex to solve. Do SSD's "remember" previous settings even when formatted? I thought I saw a thread some time back about having issues with the intel driver but didn't spend much time with it because at that time I was up and running just fine. Has anybody else experienced this with the intel display audio driver? Has it been solved. This one has to be fixed because without this driver it is just a PC.
Thanks...
