Denon 891 Vs 1712

I am trying to decide on a receiver and these two look like the best options. I am assuming the 1712 will cost MSRP when it comes out and the 891 is being clearance'd for about the same.

For a little bit of background I have a Sony KDL55HX800 and Jamo S606 speakers.

From what I can tell the major difference is that the 891 has upscaling and the 1712 has MultEQ XT. The only analog device I have left is my wii and I don't use it that often.

Will the 891 be better at upscaling 720p and 1080i that much better than my TV?

Is MultEQ XT that much better than regular MultEQ?

Are there any issues with the 891 and 3D support considering it was the first line to support it?

Will the GUI on the 891 be slow compared to the newer 1712?

Is there anything Else I should know about these two or any other receivers I should consider?

1. Unknown, although unlikely to be signficantly better if at all.
2. Yes, although maybe not so much with that particular speaker setup.
3. It cannot display the GUI over 3D video, rather only 2D although the 1712 has the same limitation.
4. Not likely, although the 1712 won't be released until next month.
5. Going with the 1712 you would have to use the component video output with the Wii and it has no USB.
