I think it's a reasonable assumption if a 999.99 deceiver (that was a typo I left) has the ability to pass HD video (and the HK agent agreed he would have also)

I am looking for a 7550.

WTF with no stick for the mike? My 645 had one. I don't like I cant erase CABLE/SAT. I want just SAT. I don't like I can't directly access all inputs and that IPOD which as I have Apple TV I'll never use is front & center and only for teh bridge I'll never buy (especially seeing as it's not iPhone 5 compatible.

No component out? Nothing above 480 out of HDMI that goes in via component (if I can get it to show up on the screen)?

All in all not much of an upgrade from my AVR 645.

A lot of the mainstream manufacturers have gone to upscaling 480i only from component (no 480p/720p or de-interlacing 1080i). If Airplay is that important to you, the new AVR 2700 has it. Or, you can just buy the Harmon Bluetooth adapter. Then, you're not locked into Apple in case you switch to Android, Blackberry or Windows Phone.

if you meant to erase 'on receiver display'.. you CAN do that. go to input setups and scroll down.

Right you are. One letter at a time scrolling through the alphabet (upper & lower case) took almost 4 minutes per input. COME ON HK!

So HK has offered me a refurb 7750 Having used the 3650 for a week I have to say it sounds great. Should I hassle packing it up, paying to ship it & waiting to get the 7750?

I have the exact same issue (audio stops) with my 2650. I have to switch to the Blu-Ray input and back to the Cable/Sat. I've renamed the Cable/Sat to Dish network, but this unit might go back to Fry's. I'd hate to have to go back to Onkyo.

Hearing that this is a common issue doesn't bode well. It's not my Dish DVR's fault.

Sigh...

UPDATE: I took the HK back to Fry's this morning. I really wanted to like this AVR. The sound was decent, and so were the featuers (despite what CNet said). I now have a Yammy A720 courtesy of A&B TV.

Thanks to all for your assistance.

I just dropped the 3650 at the UPS store. Sometime soon I'll have a refurb 7550.
