The last few weeks my Onkyo NR3008 starting acting up. No audio at all.
It will be 2 years old this Jan 20th 2013.
My Denon lasted over 10 years and it still works..I replaced it with the Onkyo...oh well
Anyway...Everything works but no audio. If I toggle it on and off the audio would come back after a few minutes but over the last few weeks it's taking longer and longer for the audio to come back on.
I have to leave it on so it warms up otherwise I would never get it to work when doing the toggle on and off.. Now it takes up to a hour or so before I can get any audio. This happens everytime (No Sound) I turn it on when I wake up the next day. Once I get
the audio working (After i twarms up long enough) I can shut it off and right back on and the audio will work.
When I first start it up for the day it says "No Signal Detected" and was hoping maybe it was the HDMI cable itself. I don't have an extra HDMI cable but will try and swap HDMI cables tomorrow ..Hoping maybe there's a small chance it could be the HDMI cable and not the HDMI board.
Anyway..I'm calling Onkyo tomorrow .
I seriously don't have any extra funds for a new reciever and need them to honor warranty.
I always kept the Receiver on it's own stand with no sides or top shelves so air circulation isn't the problem.
Is there anything special that I should say so I don't get the run around.
Thanks for any help..appreciate it .Edited by Blue Rain - 12/9/12 at 9:11pm
