That is half true. Dish Network does not carry any games on MSG HD as part of Center Ice. In fact, they very rarely even carry the SD feed of MSG, unless they have no choice like the Sabres @ Islanders or if one of the MSG teams plays Philly. DirecTV is the only MSO to carry the MSG HD feeds as a part of NHL Center Ice.

It's ****ing pathetic, and it's the reason why I didn't sign up for CI this year. One HD channel is unacceptable to me for the price being paid. It's the year 2012.

With baseball's spring training starting in a few days, and the regular season 1 month away, has anyone see any movement on these additional channels yet? I would really like not to have to reactivate my DIRECTV service for another 6 mos during the baseball season. I'd much rather just cancel DIRECTV, save some money and pay Comcast for the MLBEI package.

Plugged in a few zip codes at the iN DEMAND site and while Atlanta appears to have 8 PPV channels, most areas have 3 or less. Some areas do have 5 though, at least according to the iN DEMAND site.

Still only 2 here in the SF bay area. I ended up re-activating my DIRECTV account for yet another 6 months as it seems apparent this is not going to happen this season, not in my neighborhood anyway.

Probably, I know we're already tight on space even after the WoM conversion/expansion and the analog deletion is happening sometime this year although I don't recall anything more specific than that.

Do we know for a fact that the iN Demand channels are actually active? It still shows "Up to 24 HD games per week" on the MLB page even though Sept 2011 was 6 months ago.

I notice that the HD schedule still shows Not Available even though the season starts in 2 days, technically it started last week with the Japan(Seattle vs Oakland) games, but for just about every other team Thursday is the big day.

It looks like iN Demand does have the channels working according to this April lineup list at their site.

i talked with The Director of PR for Comcast Boston and he told me they are still making an HD list for when Boston goes All-Digital but he doesn't know if the InDemand HD's are on the list yet.

Any more info on this? I've been wanting to sign up for Center Ice for a few years now, but having just one HD channel just isn't cutting it. You would think Boston being a pretty big hockey town would be one the first cities to add more HD channels, but I guess not.

well directv has more CI HD then comcast.


Also IN demand only has 9 HD channels for NBA LP (shared with MLS DK) and att-uverse has 10 HD channels for NBA LP.

He told me nothing on the Indemand HD Channels yet, the only info he gave me was there is 6 HD's coming and one of them is FSC HD

Is Comcast Boston going to add any more Center Ice HD channels this year? I just can't justify the purchase price for one HD channel in the year 2013 when almost everything is available in HD now except apparently NHL Center Ice.

While it is off-season we still only have 2 channels available for MLBEI. I have zero faith that the situation will be any different come this April.

Cablevision doesn't offer ANY iNDEMAND HD channels.

There's always mlb.tv and their equivalents for other sports.

That's the thing. MLB.TV is pretty good (and it's been getting better each year.) Certainly good enough for me to keep getting it.

Only two HD channels for Center Ice here in Harford County MD (Comcast). I'm considering NHL Gamecenter instead this season... plus apparently MSG still doesn't provide HD feeds to most CI carriers, as home Sabres broadcasts are still only available in SD from Comcast.

Even better, so far the two HD channels have been providing nothing but color bars and hum... no games.

It appears iNDemand now carries high def feeds from MSG. Last nights Devils/Leafs game had both feeds available in HD. Last week I saw the Rangers in HD and figured it was a fluke. And for NBA League Pass, I don’t subscribe to it, but noticed in the EPG last night, both feeds of the Knicks/Cavs game were in HD as well.
