3D Projector with no adapters?

This question has probably been asked many times, sorry if that is the case.
Is there a 3D projector I can hook up to a 3D bluray player without an adapter. I know of the Acer but is not for sale on the US yet. I'm thinking of buying one, but if some are about to come out I rather wait and maybe save some money.

Thank you.
Laz.

How much do you want to spend? Sharp and JVC both have models in the $3-4k range.

Look for "hdmi 1.4 input" on the specs.

Thank you, Im looking in the $1000 range, I know the HD66 plus the adapter comes to that range, and the reviews are very nice. I was thinking of one with the same features and the adapter included maybe cheaper.
Thank you.

Viewsonic also makes a converter box that sells for less than the Optoma device.

BUMP (with a purpose)

I'm curious there are any new 3D projectors that can do 3D without an adapter using something like a WD Live TV Pro device. That is 1080p and it easily plays side-by-side or t/b 3D formatted movies. I'd like to get a 3D projector with this device, but I don't know how you can tell if the 3D projector can accept this source or if you need a 3D adapter? The projector can by 720p.

Thanks!

Optoma HD33 excellent for 3D but have to up your budget a bit.

720p PJ's: Optoma GT750(HDMI 1.4), Vivitek D538W-3D(HDMI 1.3)Some say it has no problem with either a 720p or 1080p 3D feed from a 3D Blu-Ray player. Others say it will only handle a 720p 3D feed...?

1080p PJ's: Optoma HD33, HD3300, Epson 3010(LCD)

All 720p projectors require a 3D adaptor like the Optoma 3DXL to show 3D. The adaptor will accept 1080p 3D signals but will output only 720p 120Hz to the projector.

NO adaptor needed: Optoma GT750(HDMI 1.4), Vivitek D538W-3D(HDMI 1.3)

I just received the Vivitek projector, I do not recommend buying it as it suffers from the rainbow effect. Also, the image is not so great. I am receiving my 3d glasses next week, so I haven't been able to test the 3d yet.

I'd recommend saving up for the HD33 or Epson's 3010. I'll be using this until the bulb goes and buy something better.

I just wanted to point out that projectors don't suffer from rainbow effect, people do. I've had dlp projectors before with 2x color wheels and I've never seen rbe, but if you do you should choose a projector with a fast color wheel and if you watch 3d the rbe should be gone.

I will add that I have a 3X color wheel and saw rbe when I first got the projector. When I shifted my eyes quickly I could see an instant flash of rbe but now after having it for 10 months I have a hard time seeing them. Even when I try by shifting my eyes and head I don't see rbe. In 3D its not noticeable at all. The bulb has lost some lumen output so that might have something to do with the reduced rbe. It's really a non issue for me now. Projector is the Acer H5360 which I highly recommend for 3D use.
