I'm returning my tv and exchanging it for a new one. It has brutal line bleed and have had a few pops. Once I do that and set up the new tv I'll post some pics.

@eXgo

Much improved in those last shots.
To anyone else taking shots, please take the whole display (frame and all and not just the projected image) with some background as it helps with the perspective. In other words, the clarity of the other objects in the frame helps put the image itself into perspective.

thanks a bunch bud.

hey, did you get you set yet?

hope u post pics when you get her all set up.

i did 20 hours of break in slides when first got it. then decided just to use full screen programing for the next few 100 hours or so.. i do watch the odd 2:35/40 : 1 movie but switch to full screen and that gets rid of the un-even phosphor wear that is very noticable when looking at a black or light screen.

Bad news: AllShare doesn't seem to work now (after the renaming I guess but could be any network problem).

could be.. although i could care less about that. i use my ps3 for media server.. and plus if you have an HTPC.. nuff said
but for others.. i guess.. i think the media program sux anyways.

i care about PQ first..

but thanks for letting us know janos!

it's good to know the bugs.

i am 100% happy though.

i am doing an extended gaming session to see how bad IR is currently.
I didn't really use it either. I only wanted to test if it can display an animated GIF.
The best way to wash out IR is to display a full-screen 100% white image until it looks homogeneous again. (And you probably want to turn off the TV or display a 0% black image for another ~20 mins after this because it charges up every pixels, so it noticeably rises the MLL until it can loose the residual charge...)
I played like 4 hrs on assassins creed II yesterday. And I didn't notice any IR. It's doesn't bother me cause I'm not keeping this tv
post #135 of 776
K so new tv sat gonna take care of it. It's gonna be my 64" baby so.... Slides yes or no? And what steps are suggested. I didn't take any pre cautions with the one I have now and haven't noticed anything. The one time I did notice IR was when I hooked my desktop up through hdmi to watch saw 3D and after I switched to reg tv from the comp I noticed some of my files still lingering on the screen. From anything else though (HUD, sports, etc) never once noticed a thing.
These tv's from what I have read you pretty much don't have to worry tooo much about it. Is that true?

Crap. I was counting on that feature since media extenders are pretty much dead these days.
I broke it in with the "scolling bars".

If I would get a new one I probably use a full-screen 100% white image with Cell light 20, contrast = brightness = 100 settings for a few days and I would only give it a break if the room temperature goes too high.

just run evangelos slides at high settings for 4 and one half days straight.

or watch full screen movies.

i ran slides at vivid for 20 hours and then watched full screen since.

i am playing my first game on TV. barely any ir with FFXIII.

only on no source screen and barely a shadow. i think when you use agressive settings on torch mode and use evangelo slides it breaks in quicker and it works better and there's less IR when you evenly age the phosphors.

Wish i had a hotkey or quick shortcut button to activate the scroll in bar.

i run it when i need to pause the game or movie.

anyone here running any 3d games via PC? with IZ3d?

if so are you using SBS? there is a 120hz true3d option or whatever.. but i don't think it worked.

i tried to output 3d with powerdvd 10.. but my tv just recognized it as a normal signal. didn't queue up to 3d.

so.. i guess i need to use IZ3d?? for 3d movies?? if they are not SBS?

or stereoscopic player? never used that one.. heh. might be sbs as well.
I've played 3D movies off my PC. I just downloaded them off a site. They play kinda weird side by side the exact same thing. Then you just hit that 3d button and use the option for that and viola. Actually works quite well. I just play them through windows media player.
What's the whole point of the "break in period"??
eXgo. Ps3 or xbox for ffxiii. Did you platinum it or intend to? I'm 91% complete that game. 1 trophie I'm not gonna bother getting. If on ps3 I'm gonna send u my psn.

cool bro. me 2.. the sbs i got looked pretty cool

i play then via vlc.. the sbs.

i just started using IZ3d. because evidently it turns all games to SBS and works quite well too.

It has true 3d support. though i haven't fiddled with it enough.. and profiles for true3d games..
