Very nice Frenchmon. Congrats on a fine table. I considered the mmf-7.1 too but due to severe space constraints, went with the Project RM 5.1 SE that suited my needs. I have a friend who is strongly considering upgrading from a mmf 2.2 up to the mmf 7.1 but hasn't pulled the trigger yet. So after 50 hours, how do you like it?
What cartridge are running? Looks like an Ortofon but not sure from the pics.

Thanks Paraneer...the RM 5.1 is also a very nice table. I have seen them paired with the platform that Pro-Ject sells and it is a very outstanding looking table. I have also seen them with a black or greyish looking granite platform and they really look good. I upgraded from my 2.1 to this table. I took the cart I had on my 2.1 which is a 2M Red and put it on the 7.1 until I get my new 2M Black.

Sure...they are the Canton 403 v1... The picture is of the version 2 but they are the same speaker

These Cantons are great speakers and are not well known in America. Last year I had a shoot out with a pair of Dynaudio Audioece 52 pictured below... And the Cantons walked all over them. The only thing Canton was not able to do to the Dynaudio was produce deep bass like them, but in every thing else Canton ate them up! I will be upgrading and moving up in the Canton line of speakers after I upgrade to another preamp.

I would have thought they would use the Project, Tone Arm with the Carbonfiber Headshell instead of the Metal one

If you think this TT sounds great now, wait till you install the 2M Black. SQ wise you'll be kicking it up a couple of notches.

I've had the Blue and currently run the Bronze. The Blue is nice, the Bronze is much better. I suspect the Black to be a refinement on the Bronze, so with synergystic gear you should have high expectations.

From what I understand, there is not really any difference in the arms but the headshell. Every thing else is actually the same even down to the pivot.

Well, I am curious to see what the Black sounds like, but in the mean time...the 7.1 has gotten detail out of the 2M Red that the 2.1 never did...This is a very nice table.

You have a different arm than whats on the 7.1

You have the 8.6 "carbon fiber tone-arm with aluminum headshell While the 7.1 has the Carbon 9 which is a better perfoming arm.

If I'm not mistaken, the mmf-7.1 uses the Pro-Ject 9c tonearm, where the mmf-9.? uses the 9cc Evolution. They are VERY different arms. Check them on the Pro-Ject site...

Very fine piece of equipment, congrats!

No...the MMF-9.1 uses the 9cc carbon...not the Evolution.
