Upgrade you Princeton Graphics AR**T series or CTX MS series monitor

I found a place that sells Monivision "Vision Box"s. This contains all the inputs and the tuner. Hopefully, that these are user-replaceable means that we'll all be able to upgrade our monitors to DVI, in a year or so. They claim that these are compatible with CTX MS2900, 3400 & 3800 and Princeton AR2.7T, 3.2T & 3.6T monitors.

It appears that the only difference between the ARxxT and ARxxHTX is the vision box (the HTX's has component). The same should be true of the MSxx00 vs MSxx00S.

I thought all these Princeton monitors came with the vision box. My AR3.2T certainly did (purchased in May of 2001.) It has component inputs as well as RGB and s-video. Did I get lucky or am I misunderstanding something? It does look like the thing was slapped on before shipment, so maybe it is easy to replace with a newer vision box that contains a DVI (assuming it can be that technically simple.)

I was under the impression that the "vision box" essentially slapped onto a VGA port on the monitor -- so while a DVI box would be technically possible, it would be pretty pointless. And an HDCP vision box just wouldn't exist.
