When in direct or pure audio it outputs the 5.1, dolby ture hd it outputs 5.1 signals as 5.1. So is the receiver processing the audio more in dts hd mode?
If i want to hear the dts hd track just as it is with no extra processing should i put the receiver in direct mode or even pure audio mode?
I want to hear the dolby true hd tracks and dts hd tracks exactly what the source is outputing with no processing, in dts hd mode on the reciever it always adds the 2 extra channels and seems to add more output from my sub making it boomy, so it seems to be doing extra processing in that mode.
thanks for the help.
I have the same problem, or a similar problem, and I don't believe nathan2823's post received a response.
When I put a DVD or BD into my Oppo BDP-93, bitstreaming over HDMI to my 809, all DTS tracks, including DTS 5.1 and DTS-HD Master Audio, play in all speakers of my 7.1 setup. The surround back speakers are shown to be active on the 809's display, and I hear sound from those speakers. The same problem happens on DVDs playing in my Oppo 980H. Dolby tracks are decoded fine, but DTS tracks never play in just a 5.1 configuration.
Any ideas on what the problem or solution is?
