need help combining dish/OTA

I am trying to help a friend combine dish and ota into a single cable.

1.OTA antenna cable goes directly to the TV antenna input.

2.he has a dish 322 dual tuner box. a single cable from the dpp33 switch goes to a Holland splitter that has two labelled ports:
1. uhf/vhf
2. sat
the SAT cable from that splitter comes to the dish box, then gets split to feed two tuners on the dish box(the splitter on the box is labelled "dpp seperator").

the second tv in another room gets fed with the uhf/vhf cable and works on channel 73. i checked that this channel number can be changed to any channel one wants to use.

is it possible to combine the two into one cable?

Which two are you wanting to "combine" ?

OTA and the Sat cable ? - no problem, just use a pair of diplexers so the diplexers are on the same piece of coax (figuratively, not literally). IOW, only cable and barrel connecters between the diplexers.

OTA and the TV2 output ? Well - maybe. change the TV2 settings to AIR instead of cable, then select a channel above 53. A simple splitter would work here. You should also get a Lowpass filter (search for LPF700) to put on the OTA feed at the splitter/combiner.

sorry for the confusion.
OTA and Sat cable so that there is only one cable coming into TV 1, then it can split to go to tv tuner and dish box.

is this what you meant?

this looks just like the holland that is already in the line.

can you please guide me as to how would i connect it correctly into the current mix?

i didn't think this is possible but is it possible to somehow mix it so that both TVs can be fed OTA signal through the same cable?

You have to use two of them, but yes.

Yes , BUT -
you can't mix all 3 signals on the same cable.

the image below may take a while to load.

Nope - no can do that configuration.

From the Dishpro seperator - the first 2 diplexers are wired correct. You COULD use a splitter and combiner (with that LPF700 on the OTA) on your TV2 output.

Your arrow marked "TV1 OTA Tuner" would be split, with one branch to the TV1. The other part of that split, and the Receiver's TV2 RF output would Be combined to go to the TV2. You would put the LPF700 on that TV1 OTA tuner port of that first diplexer.

Drop the 3rd diplexer - you don't wire them that way anyway. SAT in on the 2nd will go to your DPP33 switch.

I was also searching through google, there seem to be replacement switches for direct tv, where the switch itself has a antenna in port on it. does anything like that exist for dish? or will the same switch work for dish?

i checked the setup again, and there are actually two diplexers already there in his house. one outside, one inside, that's how its working now. so this gets more confusing again.

i am going to post a pic of the actual current setup below.
