Great news. Thor is indeed worthy. I posted this in the theatrical Thor thread and my opinion remains after seeing it a 4th time:
I'm curious if anyone else noticed what I did. I saw this movie 3 times at 2 different theaters. Every time I noticed:
1. Extremely fake / synthetic grain on several Asgard flyovers and also the great hall scene where Thor is about to be named king. It was incredibly jarring and unnatural. All other scenes, including CGI scenes, did not exhibit this. I'm thinking they were very expensive shots and they used filtering to hide the flaws...
2. At least one scene (near the end, when they are having a celebratory feast) where the image has the appearance of being magnified - an immediate drop in resolution and clarity. It gave me the sensation of ye olde "pan and scan" effects.
I'm hoping that maybe these problem areas are the result of a rushed schedule and perhaps will be corrected for the Blu-ray release, assuming correction is needed. I'm not holding my breath.
